    I have a very different view of Sykes Cottages. I had an awful time trying to get hold of you prior to the stay, and the request I had made (zip link bed) had not been completed. Yes a quick drop-in to Lyme Bay Holidays and it was resolved in ten minutes. In your "Tell us about how we helped you" survey after contacting you, I did not hold back and was scathing at the poor service from Sykes. Yet, you have not attempted at any time to get in touch with me to find out more about what happened, ...

Yet, you have not attempted at any time to get in touch with me to find out more about what happened, in order that you can improve your survey, nor to offer an apology. Let me be very clear - the service from Sykes was terrible, from your impenetrable automatic phone system, to your WhatsApp chat that ignores you for 24 hours in the hope that you will resolve the issue yourself so that Sykes won't have to do anything. Lyme Bay Holidays team was brilliant. The cottage was brilliant. Sykes is awful.

The property

A charming and well-presented detached family home located on the eastern side of Lyme Regis only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre shops, restaurants and beaches. The living space is bright and spacious with sky light windows flooding the kitchen and dining area with light. An adjoining conservatory overlooks the enclosed garden with its mature shrubs and pretty cottage style planting and patio with garden furniture. The cosy and comfortable lounge provides an ideal place to relax at the end of the day. The four bedroom house has three bedrooms, a family bathroom and separate shower room located on the first floor. Stairs lead up to an impressive fourth bedroom with kingsize bed, vaulted ceilings and ensuite bathroom. A small balcony offers the most wonderful and far reaching sea views over Lyme Regis towards Golden Cap and the Jurassic coastline beyond. With parking for one car and the 4 bedrooms offering flexible sleeping options , Hove To is a great place for families or friends to experience all that this picturesque seaside town has to offer. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. A maximum of one small dog is accepted. There is a charging point for an electric vehicle – a charge of £15 per week for use (please specify if required at time of booking) A refundable £50 security deposit will be required for all bookings.
