Unfortunately, Ivy Cottage was simply not up to standard. It is dated, dirty and in desperate need of renovation. At this price point, it by far the worst we have stayed in and sadly, it has dented our faith and trust in Lyme Bay Holidays a little. We only booked a two night stop gap on our way to Cornwall, but had we been staying for a week I think we would have been in touch to make a complaint or even left early. The kitchen is unusable, the plumbing is inconsistent (we didn't want to bath or shower), there are damp patches and it smelt mouldy. There are a lack of mirrors and lighting, The garden is unkept and the furniture is ready for the skip! The owners clearly do not care. There was even dog poo in the garden. The house has so much potential, but n the current state, I don't think this house should be on your books. I would whole heartedly accepted compensation or a rebate if offered.
