“We had a wonderful stay at Lyme Time.”

We and our 8 year old son were very sad to leave! It really is the most fantastic apartment, you couldn’t wish for more. Everything from the welcome pack to the gorgeous mid century modern furniture is just perfect. We stayed last year and would really love to come back again when we can. A big thank you to the owners of Lyme Time apartment, who really make it a such a welcoming place.

“We loved the apartment.”

position on the high street was great. The garden door to the park was a big surprise we used this a lot. The view of the sea was a bonus. It was a shame that there was no Guestbook because we wanted to write a nice comment so we left a postcard instead. Its quirky vibe was interesting. could do with a couple of things like a mirror by a plug socket for us women to do our hair but this does not spoil the lovely place itself. We hope to come back again soon.

“I've stayed at this accommodation several times and the location is superb with parking for the car which is very handy.”

The accommodation has everything you need for a relaxed stay. The only negative I can give are the furnishings which are more stylised than comfortable. I always move the settee out of the way as it's low down and difficult to get out of and I use the armchairs instead. It would be better to have modern touch lamps rather than the rusty mid-century ones which are difficult to switch on and off. The other thing I would like to mention is the small sample size of washing up liquid provided which is a bit stingy and didn't last the week. Other than that, I had a very pleasant stay.

“This is the second time we have stayed at Lyme Time.”

It is a lovely flat in a perfect location just off Broad Street, with everything on your doorstep, yet in very quiet and peaceful location. And having a car parking space as well makes it just perfect. The apartment is accessed via a very short staircase. There is a lift but you would need to go down a floor to go back up again. Cleaned and furnished to a high standard. The settee is very comfortable but low, so it could be an effort to get yourself up, but there are another 2 comfortable chairs there. Could possibly do with a bigger television but that is a minor point. All in all a lovely apartment that we will no doubt return to in the future.

“Perfect location and parking a bonus.”

Heating not working but was repaired on the same day as I reported it so pleased with the service. Sofa comfortable but need to be fit to get down and up from it (it’s not the sofa in the pictures). Overall happy with our stay there.

“It was generally very good and very well-equipped.”

Some of the lights didn't work, and the offer was made to fix them, but we felt it wasn't necessary midweek as it didn't really present any problems for us. We enjoyed our stay.

“We had the most fantastic stay in this lovely apartment.”

You could not ask for more. Its location is perfect, both for the beach and town, very handy if you need to pop out for supplies! Tastefully furnished with some great vintage pieces, the apartment itself has a calm vibe that we really appreciated. Everything about this place we loved. My only regret? That I had only booked one week!! Will definitely book again.

“Lovely 2 bedroomed first floor flat in the heart of Lyme Regis with private parking.”

Nicely decorated and well appointed. Couldn't really fault it. The Television was a bit tricky with 2 remote controls but we figured it out. Turning it off was a challenge as well so ended up turning the socket switch off once. The owners info states it can be a bit tricky. There is a Wonderboom speaker there but an ordinary dab radio would be better. Also a small occasional table by the French doors and Juliet balcony would be good to put your cup on when you are sat at the windows. Absolutely minor points as we loved the flat and will no doubt return here in the future when we next visit Lyme Regis. Key collection and drop off was simple from the agency. A nice welcome pack too on arrival.

“Lovely apartment situated perfectly within the town.”

Rooms were spacious and clean. Nice little view over the wall and rooftops of the sea. Parking easy and secure in a gated facility. Overall a great place to use as a base for going around Dorset/Devon or to explore Lyme Regis.

Only downside was that the boiler was off at the fuse box when we arrived and once working we couldn’t get the underfloor heating to work so it was a bit chilly!

“Excellent location, just open the back gate and you’re in Langmoor Gardens and you can see the sea.”

Just out the front is the High Street! Also, the car space is just outside and is secure behind an electric gate. The apartment is spacious with a lounge, kitchen and dining area. There’s a Juliet balcony with a view out to sea. The apartment is nicely furnished in an eclectic style which we enjoyed. The main double bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bath with shower. Great place to stay!

“Lovely apartment.”

Central location. Very quiet and great sea view from the lounge. Handy parking spot allocated with apartment. Nice to have a welcome pack with coffee, tea and some goodies. Also, basics like milk and washing up liquid provided. Comfy beds and spotless clean. Only slight niggle was the price over bank holiday weekend very high. We had to check out at 10am and did intend leaving the car for an hour to have a final walk on the sea front. But at 1005 the cleaners were waiting and wanted the car parking spot to park in.They were very nice but it meant we had to cancel our walk and ended up heading home early! Felt it was a bit early given the price we paid. But still had a wonderful time and would recommend the apartment

“Good location with bonus of secure parking, but "vintage " furniture not comfortable, especially the old wooden dining chairs ( one had been poorly repaired with wood glue).”

Also far too many "vintage" glass ornaments ,glasses and crockery- not necessary and a breakage hazard! The double bed mattress also needs replacing - springs poking through in places. BUT if it was appropriately " holiday let" furnished, it would be ideal for a Lyme Regis holiday.

“The apartment is modern, fantastically located and car parking is straightforward.”

However the issue is the furnishings, beds and bedding excepted. Everything else in the property is a mish mash of items collected from second hand shops , junk shops and maybe local auctions. The owners are proud of this as indicated in the house book. To give 2 examples , the furniture is very uncomfortable , this is the reason that the sofa had been moved on and crockery and cutlery are what your parents or grandparents would have discarded decades ago. All of this is fine in that owners can furnish a property as they want. However if they then choose to rent their property out they need to understand that not everyone will share their approach. How Sykes can describe it as excellent is beyond me. We have been going to holiday lets half a dozen times a year for a number of years and have never encountered anything like this.

We used inspiration from these local traders, our travels and stays in unique properties to create a uniquely stylish property. “The flat was beautiful, once we could get in it.”

Keys were not in safe lock as described. This was resolved within an hour. Location was good with easy access to beach. Unfortunately, holiday was spoiled and we left early due to loud drilling noise from maintenance work in flat above. This intruded our planned relaxing lie ins, so much so, that on 3rd morning, we left a day early. If we had been informed of works we would not have booked the flat

“Was a great holiday.”
