    “We have stayed at the arched house several times and always appreciated its very good facilities.”

    It’s spacious and very well equipped. Having two sitting rooms is really good, enabling youngsters to have their own space. The owners were very quick to respond to any quieres we had. The beach is just a few minutes away, making g up for the lack of a garden and all the shops are within easy walking distance. We love the closeness of the river too allowing a lovely walk along and up to Uplyme and the pub for a welcome drink.We really enjoyed our week. Thank you. Norma Bramley

The property

The Arched House, a 4 star Gold property which forms part of a Grade II listed house in the heart of old Lyme. This delightful five bedroom property is situated in ancient Coombe Street, just 150 yards from the seafront and close to the Town Mill bakery, restaurants, pubs and shops. The house has been fully renovated by the owners and provides high quality beds and bathrooms with a vintage seaside decor. Part of the charm of this property, and indeed the origin of its name, is that the accommodation, which is arranged over three floors, arches over the River Lym just before it reaches the sea. A wonderful seaside property, with its central location allowing you to enjoy all Lyme Regis has to offer. This property offers a reduced rate for groups of 6 or less not requiring 2nd floor but this option is not available during any school holiday weeks including the whole months of July and August. Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!

We have been contacted by the local council concerning essential works taking place within the car park from the 3rd Feb for approximately 3-4 weeks weather dependent.
There will be a dedicated area for cars that have a parking permit to display, however please note that EV charging will not be available during this time but Charmouth Road Car Park and Holmbush Car Park chargers will be fully operational.
