    “Watersplash cottage is clean, comfortable, very well equipped and was perfect for our January stay in Lyme.”

    We had read a couple of previous reviews suggesting that the cottage was cold, so rang the company who promised to send someone out to check that the boiler and heating were working properly. Any issue was resolved, and we were warm and cosy throughout the week, despite bitterly cold temperatures outside. The cottage is full of character including stairs which could be challenging for older guests, however we loved it. Location is excellent and there is a parking permit for the nearby car park ...

    Thank you so much for your lovely review. Thankfully we had all the heating serviced at the beginning of winter -so it should be lovely & cosy now. I’m glad you liked the garden, it’s certainly one of the reasons that we bought this beautiful cottage many years ago. The sound of the stream is so calming -especially after the noise of the cheeky seagulls on the beach. I’ve just ordered two new Canadian steamer chairs to pop on the patio - so hopefully these will be nice for a sundown drink once the summer begins. Do let us know if you visit again. Property Owner

With a new, bright, modern interior the property has been fully refurbished with a contemporary coastal decor, sympathetic with the cottage's Grade II listing. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. In an excellent location this is an ideal seaside home from which to enjoy all that the traditional holiday resort of Lyme Regis has to offer. Please note: One small dog accepted. Typical of properties of this age, the cottage has narrow, winding staircases with limited headroom so extra care should be taken by the young or infirm. LYME REGIS

Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!

Note: The cottage has narrow, winding staircases with limited head height. Note: Parking is a short walk from the property. Note: Car parking permit supplied, subject to availability.

We have been contacted by the local council concerning essential works taking place within the car park from the 3rd Feb for approximately 3-4 weeks weather dependent.
There will be a dedicated area for cars that have a parking permit to display, however please note that EV charging will not be available during this time but Charmouth Road Car Park and Holmbush Car Park chargers will be fully operational.
