Stable Cottage

A lovely cottage a short and pleasant walk from the beach.

We thought everything was excellent. The only difficulty we had was getting the key code in plenty of time. We got it on the day of travel, but this was quickly sorted by the company when I rang. A really excellent stay.

The cottage is in a wonderful village location with only a short walk to a lovely beach and local pubs.

Very clean and well maintained. Easy access to both Hive beach and the local pubs. Minor maintenance problems were dealt with very efficiently by Stephanie at Lyme Bay holidays. Although very well equipped, maybe a set of wine glasses would be good as opposed to the ‘odds & sods’ in the cupboard. We graded the comfort option lower as we all felt the mattresses were too soft. Also, very confused on the rubbish disposal instructions as we came across two differing sets of instructions. We deposited our bin bags into the wheelie bin and left it for collection on the Friday morning as no one had appeared before the refuse lorry arrived. A man did appear late in the afternoon to collect our rubbish by which time ours had gone! Lastly, We also descaled the kettle due to deposits from it in our water. Minor problems, which did not affect our enjoyment of the cottage.

This is our 2nd stay in Stable Cottage and we were not disappointed, it was just as lovely as we remembered it.

It’s a perfect mixture of thatched cottage charm and modern amenities and space. The garden room is so lovely filled with air and light. Burton Bradstock is the perfect location, a couple of good pubs and a stones throw from the beach. I would highly recommend anyone booking Stable Cottage, you won’t regret it !!

A lovely cottage, very comfortable and spacious and beautifully decorated.

One of the best we have stayed in. It is ideally situated in the very pretty village, a short walk from the excellent pub which serves really good food and the lovely beach and beach restaurant.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Stable Cottage.

It is comfortable and well equipped. It is a 15 minute walk to Hive beach or a 5 minute drive and there are 2 pubs a very short walk away.

Stable Cottage is an absolutely lovely property in a great location in Burton Bradstock Village.

It’s a 10 minute walk from Hive Beach and 5 minutes from the lovely Three Horseshoes Pub and the bus stop. As well as the pub, we had dinner a couple of times at the Seaside Boarding House and The Parlour too and we enjoyed great food at both. The cottage is spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated. The kitchen is the best equipped of anywhere I have ever stayed. Alexa in the kitchen was great fun, mainly used though for egg timing, music and radio. We love Burton Bradstock and this part of Dorset and very much hope to return to this property. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely village.

Spacious and very comfortable.

We spent a delightful few days here recently, and enjoyed the cottage, garden, village and its proximity to the coast.

The cottage is very well- furnished and equipped, comfortable and spacious, and we appreciated the ‘welcome pack’. The Three Horseshoes Inn is a short walk away and serves great food. We would definitely book again.

We had a really excellent stay at Stable Cottage over Christmas.

The cottage was decorated for Christmas and was very welcoming. The Welcome Pack was full of lovely local produce and very thoughtful. It is one of the best equipped accommodation that we have stayed in and felt very comfortable and homely. A perfect location for the coast. Thank you for a very special break.

Delightful cottage in a delightful village.

A great cottage - very comfortable with lots of room - in a lovely village with 2 pubs in walking distance and a nice walk to Hive beach.

Parking and driving in the very small village is challenging especially for 2 cars but we managed. The air fryer was a really nice addition.

Stable Cottage is in a wonderful village with 2 great pubs- highly recommend The Three Horseshoes for food /shop and great walks from the doorstep.

We enjoyed visiting West Bay, Hive Beach which has a great cafe , Bridport, Abbotsbury and Lyme Regis. We felt very at home in the cottage which was very comfortable , spacious and stylish.Thanks so much for the very generous welcome pack . We’re thinking of returning next year to Stable Cottage and this beautiful part of Dorset

It is a lovely property, in a beautiful part of Dorset although two of the bedrooms and the bathroom would be very difficult for tall people.

What an absolutely fantastic cottage.

It is extremely well fitted out with everything you could possibly need. It is comfortable, light and airy. The lounge is stunning, and lovely to sit in come rain or shine. It has a very pretty garden and is in an excellent location. I would highly recommend Stable Cottage … it is one of the best we have stayed in and really made our holiday special. Thank you so much to the owners for keeping it so beautifully furnished and decorated.

Cottage was lovely, in a beautiful location.

The en suite toilet seat was broken when we arrived but managed with it for the week. The blind on right hand side door of master bedroom was broken at the bottom, think it just needed the screws putting in but didnt have a nut. The seating area in the main lounge - the setees and chairs were low and could do with a bit more padding but beautiful garden and plenty of space to spread out, we have really enjoyed our stay. Having Alexa was good to put the tunes on too! The welcome pack was a fab gesture, lovely treats. We will be returning, thanks for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic cottage, very well equipped and very clean.

Lovely lounge with glass doors onto a very peaceful and beautiful garden to sit in. Burton Bradstock is a beautiful village, two pubs to eat in and a great location for exploring the local area. It’s a ten minute walk to Hive beach which is a lovely beach to visit and has a very good restaurant . Would have no hesitation in recommending Stable cottage, we would definitely return

We loved staying in this beautiful house in a delightful,village; very comfortable beds and a pleasant garden.

Only minor criticism I’d make is that the bin was too small- we filled it up within 2 days!

What a gem of a cottage!

With so many beautiful places to visit in this part of Dorset, Stable Cottage is the perfect base for you to stay. The cottage itself is presented very well & has all mod cons & amenities, a real home from home. There was also a lovely welcome pack provided upon arrival, such a lovely gesture. There is a compact, private garden at the rear of the cottage with birdsong or the local church bells being the only sounds you hear. We would not hesitate in returning to Stable Cottage & cannot recommend it highly enough to any potential visitors. Two nice pubs are also in the village, only a few minutes walk away, along with a Post Office, a Petrol Station (with mini supermarket) & the picturesque Hive beach less than ten minutes walk away. I guarantee that you will not regret booking this beautiful cottage.

One of the best of the many holiday cottages we have stayed in over the years.

Burton Bradstock is a picture-perfect village and Stables Cottage is on a very quiet street. The combination of the sun room and the garden let us make maximum use of the fine weather.

We know the area incredibly well and this is one of the best cottages we’ve stayed in whilst visiting family in Bridport.

It is so well furnished and equipped. The garden room was brilliant and really great during the fine weather too! Will be back.

Beautiful location and comfortable spacious cottage.

Well equipped kitchen and extended garden room looking out onto enclosed garden. Welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated after a long journey! There are two pubs within 5 min walk where we had two great meals. Hive beach 20 mon walk away with cafe and breakfast. We had a slight issue with washing machine. We ran a small white wash but machine failed to drain, likely due to previous use. The maintainance team were there within an hour to fix it.thankyou.Booking and queries were easy and team very helpful. A lovely relaxing week exploring Dorset.

Beautiful cottage which was wonderfully located in Burton Bradstock (short walk to the Three Horseshoes and Hive cafe easily reachable).

Super welcome pack- very much appreciated by all. The attention to detail in the cottage was lovely, a real home from home with all the bedrooms super comfortable. The main bedroom was if anything a little too warm even with the radiators turned down! We just opened the windows for a little while before sleeping. Kitchen was very well equipped and the Aga though traditional looking is electric so fully controllable. We had a really lovely few days stay in ‘Twixtmas’ and highly recommend Stable Cottage.

l.c shower area most taps leaking unable to turn off taps in main bathroom. And sofas very tired.but it is a beautiful cottage and our second visit .owners are very accommodating.

The garden was an added bonus to sit and relax in at the end of a busy day exploring the surrounding areas! I would recommend Stable Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing stay and wanting to explore the beautiful coastline of Dorset.

Lovely cottage in a great location , village was really pretty and peaceful.

Facilities were outstanding and extremely comfortable. Lots to do in local area, weather was also very pleasant while we were there. Owner lives in the village and he called one day to have a chat, very pleasant fellow. Would strongly recommend!

Stable Cottage is beautiful, it's the perfect place to stay in Burton Bradstock.

Our family of four were very comfortable during our stay, the cottage had everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and we throughly enjoyed it. During our stay we enjoyed walks around the village and to Hive Beach, along with day trips to Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Bridport and Weymouth. Dinner at The Three Horseshoes was fantastic as always, and the fish and chip van on Thursday night was a bonus.

Beautiful cottage very comfortable everything we needed, have to watch your head in two of the bedrooms, but it’s a cottage and that’s what most cottages are like (character cottage) we would stay here again

This is a great cottage in Burton Bradstock, which is thoughtfully designed and decorated.

The modern extension is a triumph and the main bedroom is much larger than the photos show, so that there is no problem with sloping roof or low beams. Our only irritation is the request to strip the beds, bag up towels etc on day of departure - it's a busy last morning packing up without this extra chore. This would not put us off returning though!

A beautiful cottage with good facilities.

It was very comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was great too - easy to get to, with good parking and a close walk to the Burton Bradstock beach. We definitely will come back again!

Kitchen and lounge areas well up to speed and satisfactory in every way - upstairs only suitable for 2 adults plus children because of sloping ceilings.

Bathroom shower space again compromised- both showers produced very low results and performance. Very disappointed not to receive Welcome Pack, especially when as we were leaving the next guests pack arrived- she assured us ours had been delivered on Saturday 30/9! It should also be noted that fire extinguishers were 3 years out of warranty- not good in a thatched cottage!

We had a lovely stay.

The location is amazing and is local to the beach, a great pub (the three horseshoes) and plenty of walks. We stayed with our 2 year old and 2 month old. The master bedroom is big enough to fit a travel cot and my 2 year old slept in a double bed. The door handles are high enough that he couldn’t leave the room which was good as no stair gate. The kitchen was well equipped and we received a lovely welcome pack, but there were no basic items provided such as, olive oil, salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets, or washing machine tablets. We had to keep our 2 year old out when cooking as the Agar gets hot to touch, but this wasn’t a problem and the sun room had plenty of space for him to play with his toys. We really enjoyed our time at the property and the village it’s located in is very quaint. We would definitely return again!

What a lovely place to stay. Beautiful layout with everything you need. Very cosy, it felt like home. Thank you for the welcome pack too! Beautiful area with lots to do and see. Saturday market was quite a size and many interesting stalls to browse. We loved the shops in town, beaches and fish & chips. Farm shop was very good too. We would return for sure! I would've loved some history of the house in the guest info folder. Many thanks from all of us.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage, a real home from home.

Lovely welcome pack with local goods. Anchor Inn and Horse Shoe pubs both fab food, loved the friendly vibe of the village too and agreed we will be coming back again with family.

Lovely cottage and village, very well equipped and the welcome package was a very nice touch.

We didn't explore far, as it was just a weekend but instead we really enjoyed the cottage. We look forward to coming back with family!
