“We had a wonderful stay.”

Everything you need is there, from a fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, towels to a comfortable lounge. Seating area outside to accommodate 6 was great for breakfast or evening meal and enjoy sea view. So close to beach and everything. Would love to go back. The added bonus of fans in bedroom’s and lounge was great as it was very hot, they worked really well.

“Perfect base for a Grandparent retreat on Lyme family holiday.”

There was everything we needed, spotless and spacious - lovely hot shower every morning, front door opening onto the terrace for breakfast and evening glass of wine watching the comings and goings of a traditional seaside holiday. The parking space was an added bonus. Very clear instructions for arrival and departure. Thank you Lyme Bay Holidays. We'll be back.

“This is a great place, within walking distance to all you could possibly require.”

House is clean and has all you need for cooking. Only issue I had , the mattress could of been a little softer. That's just me though as I am sure everyone has their own preference. Would definitely go back again.

“Fabulous property in a fabulous location.”

The parking is an absolute bonus. We stayed for a week in April with our twins and their Grandparents. There is plenty to do for all ages and being so close to the beach was perfect for our family. We did hear the family above us in the flat upstairs - however this I feel this is to be expected during half term. The only tweak that could improve the flat would be black out curtains in the bedrooms. But again that’s my opinion and it hasn’t put me off from booking up in next April

“We really enjoyed our stay and have booked again.”

Small details - the sash window in the room with the bunk beds is hard to close, one of the catches is wobbly. It would be really helpful if there was a large fold up clothes airer of the sort you can buy from Robert Dyas for about £30. A teapot would be useful. The location of this property and the convenient parking make this a fantastic holiday let.

Regarding the clothes airer, there is a small one and 2 washing lines to use, sorry if you didn’t find this enough, and regarding the missing tea pot, there are 2, one china and one metal, sorry you couldn’t find them in the kitchen wall cupboards with the plates and mugs. “There are no fans on the property at all which made it less than comfortable at night.”

Also, we were surprised that not even the baaic os salt and pepper were provided - we've become accustomed to having at least that when renting residential properties. (Not a huge thing but noticeable) The worst aspect was actually the lack of customer service. I struggled to reach a person until the morning I was leaving, despite them saying there was 24 hr customer service.

“We had a lovely stay at this apartment which was lovely and spacious and very near all facilities, with wonderful views over the harbour.”

Parking was a bonus. Only some slight little niggles the garden parasol needs replacing as it is broken beyond use and with the full height of summer would have been very useful. Also perhaps lighter duvets for the summer months 13.5 tog duvets during a heatwave phew! Also a bit of garden maintenance in the back yard would'nt go amiss. Otherwise extremely happy with everything.

“Lovely property.”

Comfortable, spacious, homely & loved the decor. Excellent location, with the beach a 2 min walk. Parking was a bonus (a short walk from the property). We didn't need to use the car as there is so much within walking distance - pubs, restaurants, shops etc. Particularly liked Largigi - a Thai restaurant on the beachfront. Would definitely book again if we go back to Lyme Regis.

“The member of staff who dealt with our booking was very helpful.”

They contacted the owners enabling our small dog to accompany us as he had in the past, thank you. We have stayed in this and many other properties in Lyme and around the UK over the years and are used to taking what we need with us.Things have improved greatly, no longer needing to take bedding or towels with lots of little extras left to improve your stay. I realise that businesses are having increased costs and need to make adjustments and whilst I don't expect bottles of wine, biscuits etc, which greeted us on our last visit, a pint of milk in the fridge upon arrival would have been nice.

Ideal location and the parking behind made life so much easier as parking in Lyme Regis is not the best. Loved the chairs and table outside as we even managed a cup of tea in the sunshine. Loads of room and lovely to be able to see the sea

“This was our second year staying at the same property.”

It is incredible, right on the Cobb and so close to everything. We had a great time at the house, it’s so comfortable. The only issue we have is the shower no matter what direction you aim the shower head or the screen, the bathroom gets soaked We have already booked for next October

“A lovely property in a great location for the beach, promenade, pubs, shops and all local facilities.”

Being a ground floor apartment the view of the sea is limited by the boat yard in front, but as the beach is only 150 yards away from the property it doesn't really matter. We had a great time in a very nice and well equipped property.

Note that whilst it’s a ground floor apartment there are a couple of steps up to the house itself and up to the kitchen within the apartment. We had a lovely time.

The chimney roars with noise whenever the wind blows , as it was windy it was unacceptable, not a difficult fix , block it Tv has child lock requiring a code which is not supplied and when I called the office they said they would obtain it , they didn’t Bed duvet will I believe be delightful in winter but it is far too heavy for this time of year The fan in bathroom only operates when light is on, there is no overrun to remove odours , so light was left on

“Being very close to the cob this property is ideal for a family wanting to use the beach.”

It works well for us as my husband doesn’t like walking up hill and can get to plenty of pubs that serve food and some shops by walking along the sea front. Car park space is very close by. Outside seating is ideal in good weather.

Great shower in bathroom! Kitchen & all equipment provided for a convenient stay. Good to be able to walk out of the front door and be close to the Cobb and quay. This is one of the best places we have stayed in Lyme and great to have a parking place. I have been visiting Lyme regularly since staying as a child with family - I remember the first landslide! We had a lovely week; first weekend sat out in the sun on the patio for lunch! Wind and rain did not detract from our enjoyment (expect some bad weather at this time of year). Thanks to the owners, the housekeeping team - we would like to return asap!

“All lovely apart from the beds.”

They were so uncomfortable, rock hard mattresses with springs sticking in your backs. Also a loud humming noise (fan?) in second bedroom, all day and all night.

“First rime in flat one.”

We changed from flat 2 for this year as last year both our husbands were ill. Unfortunately both our husband have passed away, so it was good for us both to be in a different flat this year, it worked out really well for us. We enjoyed being in flat one - it was just right for us this time. We always enjoy being in Lyme, it's our favourite place. Cob View is in just the right place, near to everything you need.
