“Your asset is the incredible view and parking.”

We felt relaxed in the “family friendly “ furnishings. On every stay ( 3 times) however the overpowering odour from the bathroom en-suite to the twin room has spoilt our experience. Perhaps more generous sized bath towels would be nice and larger duvets for the single beds ?

“Without wanting to sound negative, as our stay at Harbour Heights was a delight, but a few things need attention.”

The TV in the smaller single bedroom doesn’t work. We couldn’t get the main TV to work so called Lyme Bay Holidays. A very helpful man , called James, came within the hour and got it working. He gave me instructions on how to use it . In fact there were 3 handsets and he said it only needed one. Unfortunately he never managed to get the bedroom TV working. I’m not sure whether the other bedroom TVs worked as the ladies didn’t need them. One of the sun beds on the terrace is completely broken. The main oven doesn’t work. Fortunately the small oven does. It is difficult to leave the house clean as there are simply no cleaning materials whatsoever. The hand soap bottles contained a very small amount of liquid soap, one bottle was simply water. As if someone had tried to make the soap gel go further but had put too much water in. There was only the small tube of washing up liquid, that came in the small box with a J cloth. Nothing at all to clean the sink with. On the other hand we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary local produce. Extremely good. We didn’t write about this in the Visitors book as the stay in general was excellent. Fabulous position / easy walk to beach / convenient parking / comfortable beds / ample seating / great views. Would definitely go back.

“A very lovely home in a great location with fantastic views.”

The property is generally comfortable, though the step into the conservatory and the step into the garden could be rethought to better accommodate elderly guests. Some maintenance is needed—particularly in the bathrooms. The en-suite in the front bedroom had an unpleasant drainage smell, and the shower at the rear of the property was loose, effectively becoming a handheld unit. Check-in and check-out times could be improved. A 10am check-out is quite early, especially for families with young children or elderly guests, as it makes the morning feel rushed. This is compounded by the fact that many shops in the centre don’t open until 11am. Likewise, the 4pm check-in means you lose most of the first day. With a few updates, this property could be exceptional.

“We were thrilled with the accommodation it was immaculate and had everything you could possibly wish for.”

The lounge area with the three settees were very comfortable and the number of tables and chairs in various different rooms was great. The tables and chairs outside on the patio were a great bonus with lots of choice of seating and sun beds. All the bedrooms were very spacious and the beds very comfortable. The parking for the two cars was perfect and safe too. The views out to sea were fabulous, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and shall certainly return again.

“No soft furnishings, standing lamps, cushions or blankets so it felt very unhomely.”

There was also an infestation of woodlice, some dead ones already on the living room floor when we arrived. I’m sure the space is great for older groups but for our needs as a young family (our youngest is 2 so we need floors to be clean for example) we didn’t get what we needed. Looks like it just needs a bit of TLC, great location though!

In my room there was no radiator although all the other rooms had them. The rest of the flat was very nice - especially the views.It was nice to have parking for two cars.

“A really lovely apartment, and the photos don't do the view credit!”

The whole apartment was clean and spacious, with plenty of shared living space - the lounge/dining room was a good size, and with the addition of the garden room we could all spread out as much as we wanted. The terrace was a great space to sit out and watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour, and the view was a delight. The private path made for easy access to the beach, with it being just a three minute walk down through the park to the sand. For anyone visiting, the path is a little steep and includes stairs - this was fine for us (even for my elderly grandad), but for anyone with mobility issues you might want to consider a different route. I'd happily recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Thanks! 2. As last time, we could not lock the patio door and were anxious leaving the apartment unlocked each day. It needs a new lock or clear instructions please. 3. A few crockery and cutlery items were unclean but we put everything we used through the dishwasher before and after use. 4. A couple more kitchen bin bags would have been helpful and salt and pepper.
