“Great accommodation.”

The views were lovely especially at 6:30am watching the sun rise. As mentioned in other reviews, it may not be the best place to stay if you have mobility issues. Steep climb up the hill from the town/beach and steps leading up to the property. Again as mentioned we also had problems with the upstairs television, but emailed the office on the Saturday evening when we arrived and someone came out on the Sunday and sorted the problem. Lyme Regis certainly has a lot to offer and is one of the ...

“This is a beautiful property with the most stunning views across the bay.”

It had plenty of space for everyone to spread out ( 2 lounges /3 bathrooms ) and have space from each other at times. Very clean and nice quality bedding and kitchen equipment . It was very quiet with no passing traffic and positioned up above the town. There were only a few things worth mentioning 1) it is a very steep 10-15 minute walk from either the beach or the town so anyone with a buggy, cart or mobility issues should take this into consideration 2) the garage is not adjacent to the property and there is no parking directly in front of the property so you will have to carry everything along and up lots of steps to the house. Our Land Rover did not fit the garage so we had to pay £100 for a week’s parking so check dimensions of garage 3) the shower over the bath in the upstairs bathroom has no screen or curtain so did cause a lot of water on the floor 4) neither television has catchup and the upstairs one kept losing signal so had to be abandoned which was a shame as it’s the nicer lounge with amazing views. I know people don’t go on holiday to watch TV but seems a shame / easy fix for an otherwise high spec property We have already booked this property again for next year as it was really special compared to others we have booked.

“The property is well maintained and convenient for the centre of Lyme Regis.”

It was nice to sit on the balcony. The boiler is so noisy that I couldn't sleep even with earplugs in but I walked to Lyme Bay Holidays, which actually manages 4 Coram Court (even though the booking is via Sykes), and they were round within 2 hours to change the timer so the hot water didn't come on at 6.30am! They also got it to switch off earlier in the evenings. Lyme Bay Holidays were very friendly and helpful. I would like to suggest that when the owner has funds for an upgrade, they could add some thermal/blackout blinds/curtains as it was extremely hot (I am not blaming the owner for global warming). There is a washing machine/tumble dryer but no brochure so I had to squint at a PDF on my phone (not easy at my age). There is a rotary drying line in the back garden (no indoor clothes horse). There is a dishwasher but we didn't use it. Parking is in a double garage that keeps the car very cool. There is a remote control gadget to open and close it as it is an enormous double door. Not too hard once we got the hang. Couldn't fathom out the TV.

We would prefer the outside bins to be closer and we didn’t actually see them until we were driving away. The decking was lovely but needed a bit of maintenance here and there. We will come again!

“Fabulous property in a great location.”

Lovely outside seating area with great views over the bay. Everything you need to feel at home. Perfect for us as six adults. Parking for two cars was very useful as parking costs were quite expensive in the town. Small to medium cars are fine for the garage which was easily accessed using the remote control. Instructions to access and find the property were accurate. Beautiful views from the upstairs lounge and bedroom.

“We loved our stay here and have actually stayed here four times over the past six years!”

The living rooms are a good size and the view over the bay from the decked area is simply stunning. There are three showers, three toilets and one bath, so no queuing for the facilities! The kitchen is well equipped with china, cutlery and glassware. In addition to the oven, there is a microwave and a full sized dishwasher. The garage will accommodate a vehicle with roof bars (but not a top box) and is accessed by a remote control. The place is in generally good order, although the decking could use some TLC in a couple of places and one of the baffles in the washing machine drum is detached (still washes ok).

“We really enjoyed our holiday at this well appointed and comfortable property.”

The sea views from the upstairs lounge, bedroom and downstairs veranda are stunning. The kitchen is well equipped – everything you could need (including a Bosch Tassimo coffee maker, and a Romertopf !). The beds are also very comfortable. We also appreciated the welcome pack with local goodies, and the milk in the fridge on arrival. Only a few issues - it would be useful to have a couple of deckchairs or sun loungers, as the wooden dining chairs are fine for dining, but are not very comfortable if you want a few hours relaxing and enjoying the views on the sun deck (which was one of the reasons we booked this property). Also, in the upstairs bathroom just a couple of minor issues - the hot tap drips constantly, and there is no shower screen/curtain (although there is an ensuite shower room to the main upstairs bedroom).

The only negative is the steps leading up to the property. They seem designed to mislead the eye and could be hazardous for visitors with poor vision.

“The view the view, the view….”

It’s all about the view :) What a beautiful place. The only thing I would say is that though the house is fairly close to the centre it is quite a way up if you intend to walk back and forth from Lyme beaches so bear this in mind if you have reduced mobility.

Care had to be taken when using the external steps as some of the decking showed signs of age with surface rotten areas in places which could be slippery when wet. Also, during our stay we had heavy rainfall for a day and when opening the garage it was totally flooded due to the external drainage channel being full of gravel and muck.

The facilities are excellent and the view over Lyme and down the coastline is fabulous. We were a little confused by the description as to bathroom arrangements, so were pleasantly surprised to find an extra bathroom on the ground floor with shower. The garage parking is a little tricky but doable. We would highly recommend it and Sykes responded well to our questions.

There was everything we needed within the house itself. A couple of things we noticed - the kitchen tap is loose at the base, it probably needs tightening but thought we should mention it. The other thing is the creaky floors upstairs which, we know from experience cannot be fixed easily as it means pulling up the carpet! We had a great time and hope to return again.

“Coram Court is an absolutely lovely, spacious holiday home.”

Very well equipped and clean and a perfect base to explore Lyme Regis. The photos do not do the views justice - it is simply spectacular from the living room window out across the sea. We loved it and plan to return. It is worth noting that the parking / garage is tight - we did fit 2 small cars in but a larger car would not fit and although parking is available nearby it is expensive.

“Home was lovely, fantastic views, very homely, very clean and in a great location.”

The kitchen was well stocked for adults. It might be nice to have some children's plates and cups though it didn't interfere with our stay. Parking was challenging but we could fit 2 cars in the garage, we couldn't empty them from there though so it might have been nice to have a drop off parking spot. These are just a couple of points that would have made life easier but we still had a great time and would come back again. Thank you for a lovely stay

The house was well kitted out, with good quality bedding, towels and crockery. The deck was a great size and because it was partially sheltered we sat out even when the weather was being British. The views were even better than I hoped, and the upstairs sitting room had comfy sofas and panoramic views. We also had a welcome bag of goodies, which was a really nice touch. The walk up the hill was steep, but perfectly doable unless you have mobility issues. We did manage to squeeze 2 estate cars in the garage, but it was very tight so we left them in there for the whole stay and walked everywhere.

Well appointed kitchen facility. The parking is very tight, however, the parking in Lyme Regis is difficult. If you do not or cannot climb hills or stairs, this would not be the place for you. The lighting for the bathroom was not sufficient. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

“The property is really lovely.”

The upstairs lounge area is especially beautiful and the kitchen is really well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need, including a microwave and coffee machine. The dining room is very spacious, with a small TV and extra settee. The beds are very clean and comfortable. Sadly, one or two steps are a little unsteady on the decking areas and the area at the back of the property would not be suitable for young children. The parasol over the table on the front decking was broken when we arrived and in a dangerous condition. A quick call to the maintenance team soon meant that it was removed from the table (the maintenance response was excellent) but no replacement was provided. The garage is great for two small/medium cars but the walk up to the property is rather steep and not at all suitable for anyone with a health condition or disability. The property does have great views though!

Well equipped kitchen, two separate sitting areas, large outdoor decking area - missed the egg chair from last year? Reported to Sykes, when we left, that the carpet is damp in the bedroom downstairs by the shower room - possible shower needs resealing. Haven’t had a reply. Quite steep uphill walks from the shops and the cobb, but not really too much of a problem for us. Nice shorter walk down some steps to the park for mini golf. We had a great week.

“The house is lovely in many ways with a lovely view and upstairs sitting room, a useful garage, two sitting rooms and three bathrooms; however it is looking quite tired in some areas with worn out decking, shabby kitchen surfaces/cupboards and sealant in the kitchen in need of replacement.”

We couldn’t work out the hot water and struggled to get the parasol up. Prices are now astronomical for Lyme Bay holidays (now Sykes) though admittedly, this was a large house; elsewhere we are accustomed to superb linen and luxury furnishings for such charges. Four star gold also appears a little hopeful for this house compared to a couple of other houses we have stayed in through the company.

You will not be disappointed with the sea views from the front deck, sun up and sun down equally spectacular. With a short walk into Lyme Regis the accommodation was very well situated albeit a slight walk uphill on your return. The whole party would definitely recommend booking this property, a great time had by all and a well deserved break.

“Fabulous property.”

Everything we could have needed. What we expect from a property of this cost. (We have stayed in many with various companies). Only issues were, one of the blinds in the upstairs living room is broken and would not raise correctly. Also, we could not find a key for the door to the rear garden, so we had to enter it via the bedroom sliding door or via the side of the property. We were looking to possibly book again for next year but the cost has risen approx 20%. This is totally unacceptable, so sadly we will not be making a further booking.
