    “What a gem Ammonite is.”

    We had wonderful weather and we had our dog (Airedale) with us so the veranda was perfect knowing he was safe. Loved the seaside theme throughout. Excellent use of space, comfortable beds, welcome pack contained quality local products. Loved waking up to that view and watching the sunrise over The Cobb. We felt thoroughly relaxed and recharged. TO THE OWNER (NOT TO BE PUBLISHED) We feel the decking needs some attention. There are a few spots where they are very rotten and need replacing ...

Just a suggestion but an outside sofa with cushions would be lovely, something a little more comfortable. I know this has it's own problems with people leaving cushions outside but a storage box outside for them and strict instructions. We hope to return in the near future, we loved every minute of our weekend. We were the guests who had problems with the TV, which was rectified and thankyou for the bubbles!

The property

Perched at the edge of Monmouth beach and boasting extensive sea views, this property is simply delightful. With a large decking area and sleeping for four, Ammonite is the perfect base for a family or couple looking to explore the Jurassic coast. Utilise the handy off-road parking and be welcomed onto a fantastic decking where a blue wooden chalet with large French windows encourages you to make yourself at home. The open-plan living area of this property is bursting with everything you will need to make your trip a delight, with stylish sofas for relaxation, an amply fitted kitchen and a dining area for four, as well as beautiful wooden walls painted a faded blue as though the cottage has been submerged in the sea itself, and the homely paintings and décor only add to the wonderful sea theme of this property. A double bedroom with the theme of blue makes the perfect place to settle down for the night, with storage and furniture painted in the same vintage look style as the walls, adding a tasteful theme to the room, and there is a second bedroom where a single bed with a pull-out truckle bed will make a great space for children, decorated with a pale blue and driftwood ornaments. After spending the day at the beach, a bathroom with a walk-in shower will shake the seaside chill from your bones and you will be delighted by the décor in here, including a mirror made to look like a sips window. The most notable feature of this wonderful property has to be the fantastic decking area, enclosed to ensure safety for children and your four-legged family member, you will find seating and a table allowing you to take in the sea views with a glass of wine or enjoy a family breakfast in the salty air. Lyme Regis is a fantastic family holiday destination, with a bustling town centre offering a great number of eateries to cater to your culinary needs, craft shops selling local produce and artwork and there is also the option of delving into the history of the area with a trip to The Dinosaurland Fossil Museum or Lyme Regis Museum. Within the town you will also find a delightful marine aquarium displaying an array of fantastic wildlife from around the coast and why not take a walk through Langmoor and Lister Gardens? The main feature of the Jurassic coast has to be the number of fantastic beaches on offer, with Monmouth Beach quite literally at your fingertips, making it the perfect place to enjoy a family walk or to take to the waves for your favourite watersports activities. With sea views and a great location, you will be bound to make an amazing holiday with a stay at Ammonite.
