“We have stayed in a number of self-catering properties in Lyme, and Coram Cottage is probably our personal highest rated.”

The position, accommodation and parking suited us ideally, and the garden was secure for our dog. The balcony and outside areas are lovely: great views and plenty of privacy. Foot access for the town, beach and walks is very good. Everything we needed was provided to a good standard and the bedrooms and seating were comfortable. We were glad of the multiple fans in the exceptional heat, especially in the top bedroom.

“Coram cottage is a lovely house , the photos don’t do it justice !”

The owners have left books and artwork all over the house which makes it feel like a home . Views are stunning , position is quiet but only short walk from town and beach . There are some great walks straight from the house . The 6 of us and the dog had a great time !!

“Perfect cottage for a family holiday.”

Brilliant location so close to the beach and the coastal path with proper off road parking. Loved the garden and the balcony not to mention the amazing array of books and games. Only thing was the sofa bed in the attic room was pretty uncomfortable but luckily our son was so tired from running around on the beach it didn’t stop him sleeping…

“The house and garden are so nice.”

Everything was really good. There were a few ways to walk down to the beach, all very steep, but still very handy to be able to reach church, shops, beach, without using the car. Just for info, in case you are not already aware… only one side of the toaster worked. I would have found it helpful to have a washing basket and some pegs so I could leave washing outside on the airer rather than using the tumble dryer. It wasn’t clear from the holiday folder where the manuals were kept…but we did find them eventually. These are minor things. Thank you for sharing your house. We had a lovely stay

“This was wonderful accommodation for us as a multi generational family including infant (and not forgetting our border terrier).”

A safe and tranquil location within walking access to beach , pathways and Lyme Regis town centre, complete with lovely views from three storeys. It has a beautiful garden from which we were lucky enough to have sufficient good weather to have three bbqs. We loved it!

“Check in is quite late and check out very early.”

Average timings are check in 3 pm and 11 am for check out. The cottage was really good. Only comment is that the BBQ was really dirty.

The property

Coram Cottage is a charming and very characterful 1930s-style house located in the popular seaside town of Lyme Regis in Dorset. Located on the eastern side of the town, the house has been designed to make the most of the impressive sea views with the comfortable lounge. Doors from the lounge open onto a decked terrace where you can sit with your morning cuppa watching the sun come up over Golden Cap and the Jurassic coastline. Perfect for a family or group of friends, this three-bedroom house can accommodate up to eight guests with its flexible accommodation arranged over three floors. On the ground floor, there is a spacious open plan kitchen/dining room which is perfect for sociable family mealtimes. The ground floor king-size bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, enjoys lovely views over the garden at the rear. On the first floor, the second king-size bedroom is both spacious and bright, with far reaching views over Lyme Regis and the coast beyond. The family shower room is located on this floor. Stairs lead from the first floor to an open plan family room with double sofa bed & twin beds. The gardens and outside areas of Coram Cottage make the most of the enviable location with seaside themed planting and outdoor seating areas providing the ideal spot to sit and take in the views. There are two feature ponds traversed by a decked footpath so supervision of younger children when in the garden is essential. With off-road parking for two cars and a convenient footpath at the end of the private road, this delightful period property is perfect for exploring Lyme Regis and this popular stretch of the Dorset coast whether on foot or by car. Please note: Children will need to be supervised when in the garden due to the ponds or when using the roof terrace accessed from the first-floor lounge. A maximum of one dog is accepted GROUND FLOOR (some internal steps). Spacious entrance hall leading to an open-plan kitchen and dining room with bay window overlooking the rear garden. Bedroom 1: king-size bedroom with a Smart TV. En-suite bathroom wash basin, WC and bath with a shower over. Cloakroom. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
