    “I've had the most wonderful working week staying at Little Sea Thrift in Lyme Regis.”

    Debbie is a wonderful, thoughtful host and a talented artist; the accommodation is beautifully presented and a very comfortable space, full of gorgeous antiques and artworks some of which is Debbie's own!). Every room is full of delights, including the lovely bathroom and its fab walk-in shower. I particularly loved that there were books in almost every room, which were lovely to browse when I was taking a break from work. The terrace off the bedroom is a suntrap; even in November I was able to ...

    Debbie is a wonderful, thoughtful host and a talented artist; the accommodation is beautifully presented and a very comfortable space, full of gorgeous antiques and artworks some of which is Debbie's own!). Every room is full of delights, including the lovely bathroom and its fab walk-in shower. I particularly loved that there were books in almost every room, which were lovely to browse when I was taking a break from work. The terrace off the bedroom is a suntrap; even in November I was able to sit out and enjoy the warmth. With permission, you can also go explore Debbie's amazing hillside garden with lots of hidden delights to discover and beautiful views towards the Golden Cap. As a sole female traveller I also felt very safe; the annex is attached to the main house, so, despite the fact that is was very quiet (and therefore perfect for working) I never felt isolated. It is about a ten minute walk to the sea, restaurants, etc, though do be prepared for an invigorating, but scenic, walk home up the hill (if that's not your bag you can always use your car and park in one of the many town car parks). Highly recommended - I hope to be back!

Little Sea Thrift is a romantic, ground-floor retreat situated in the pretty seaside town of Lyme Regis, Dorset. Close to the beach, stunning coastal walks and a wonderful selection of places to eat out, this is a great choice for couples and friends seeking a memorable stay on the UNESCO Jurassic Coast. Step inside this apartment to find the most welcoming interior with sumptuous furnishings and walls adorned with exquisite artwork. Be enveloped by the sofa while you relax with a glass of wine or take in one of your favourite films on the Smart TV. Large wooden doors in the lounge open to reveal the cleverly concealed kitchen area where you can prepare your meals with ease. The lavish feel continues into the bedroom, another room furnished with great attention to detail, a king-size bed and thoughtful personal touches throughout. Doors open from the bedroom onto a small terrace and courtyard garden creating a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the views over the gardens to the sea. Next to the bedroom, the shower room boasts a spacious walk-in shower where you can freshen up ready to face the day ahead. A short stroll from the property takes you to the seafront, where you will find pretty coastal gardens, the iconic Cobb harbour, and beaches popular with beachgoers and water enthusiasts alike. A good selection of restaurants and pubs can be found here, many specialising in local seafood. The town of Lyme Regis offers visitors a great selection of independent shops, galleries, and eateries, together with two small supermarkets where you can stock up on your day-to-day essentials. Renowned for its fossil-rich shores, why not try your hand at a spot of fossil hunting or head to the Lyme Regis Museum, where you'll find fossils galore in the new interactive geology gallery and can learn about the remarkable fossil hunter, Mary Anning. The nearby cliff-top paths and South West Coastal Footpath provide great walking opportunities for those wishing to explore the stunning coastline on foot and take in views towards Portland on a clear day. For a popular day out, head along the coast to Abbotsbury, a historic village located on Chesil Beach and home to the famous Swannery and sub-tropical gardens, or visit the picturesque fishing village of Beer with its limestone cliffs and pretty beach, where it is easy to lose a few hours sat in a deckchair watching the local fishermen hauling their catches ashore.
