It felt less like a holiday rental and more like stepping into a dream. Debbie’s warmth and thoughtfulness were evident in every detail. Waiting for us was a handwritten welcome note, brimming with carefully gathered insights on the best local walks, beaches, places of interest, eateries, and even upcoming events. It was clear so much care had gone into ensuring we would have the perfect stay. To our delight, Debbie had also left a generous selection of treats: fine wine, artisanal crackers, rich chocolate, olives, bottled water, and fresh milk. Such thoughtful gestures are rare, and they made us feel immediately at home — and very much spoiled. The location could not have been better: a leisurely stroll brought us into the heart of Lyme Regis, while a short drive opened up the wonders of the Dorset countryside. We were fortunate to meet Debbie during our stay, and found her to be as charming and welcoming in person as we had imagined — a truly lovely soul, full of fascinating stories. One of the greatest pleasures was wandering through the spectacular garden — a seemingly endless haven bursting with a dazzling array of plants, flowers, and majestic trees. It was nothing short of enchanting. We are already dreaming of our return. There is no doubt we will be booking again, eager for the day when we can once more sit on the patio, drink in hand, gazing out over the breathtaking sea views and soaking in the magic of this extraordinary place.

Little Sea Thrift is a romantic, ground-floor retreat situated in the pretty seaside town of Lyme Regis, Dorset. Close to the beach, stunning coastal walks and a wonderful selection of places to eat out, this is a great choice for couples and friends seeking a memorable stay on the UNESCO Jurassic Coast. Step inside this apartment to find the most welcoming interior with sumptuous furnishings and walls adorned with exquisite artwork. Be enveloped by the sofa while you relax with a glass of wine or take in one of your favourite films on the Smart TV. Large wooden doors in the lounge open to reveal the cleverly concealed kitchen area where you can prepare your meals with ease. The lavish feel continues into the bedroom, another room furnished with great attention to detail, a king-size bed and thoughtful personal touches throughout. Doors open from the bedroom onto a small terrace and courtyard garden creating a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the views over the gardens to the sea. Next to the bedroom, the shower room boasts a spacious walk-in shower where you can freshen up ready to face the day ahead. A short stroll from the property takes you to the seafront, where you will find pretty coastal gardens, the iconic Cobb harbour, and beaches popular with beachgoers and water enthusiasts alike. The town of Lyme Regis offers visitors a great selection of independent shops, galleries, and eateries, together with two small supermarkets where you can stock up on your day-to-day essentials. Renowned for its fossil-rich shores, why not try your hand at a spot of fossil hunting or head to the Lyme Regis Museum, where you'll find fossils galore in the new interactive geology gallery and can learn about the remarkable fossil hunter, Mary Anning. The nearby cliff-top paths and South West Coastal Footpath provide great walking opportunities for those wishing to explore the stunning coastline on foot and take in views towards Portland on a clear day. For a popular day out, head along the coast to Abbotsbury, a historic village located on Chesil Beach and home to the famous Swannery and sub-tropical gardens, or visit the picturesque fishing village of Beer with its limestone cliffs and pretty beach, where it is easy to lose a few hours sat in a deckchair watching the local fishermen hauling their catches ashore.
