Only moments from the house, the seafront, with its family-friendly beaches, is popular with bathers and perfect for those looking to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday. For those wishing to get out on the water, paddle board and kayak hire is available on the beach with regular boat excursions and fishing trips running from the harbour. Food lovers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out with a fantastic range of restaurants, pubs and cafés close by, including fine dining for special occasions, great pop-up options serving local food, and of course, no trip to the coast is complete without trying some of the local fish and shellfish which is readily available. Why not take a visit to neighbouring Charmouth where you can try your hand at fossil hunting or learn about the area’s rich fossil history at the Heritage Centre on the seafront? Popular with walkers, the South West Coastal Path takes in the famous Jurassic Coast and rewards with far-reaching and stunning coastal sea views as well as taking pretty fishing villages such as Beer and Branscombe.
