“Great property in a fantastic location.”

We really enjoyed staying here, so close to everything going on during the day, but lovely and peaceful in the evenings. Fantastic views from the room and some great places to eat like RockFish (best meal of the stay), Kiosk for breakfast rolls & coffee and the takeaway Greek place near the harbour. We would love to return.

“This was our second stay in this fantastic appartment.”

Perfect, central location on the beach with wonderful views. Beautifully clean and maintained and well kitted out. Lovely welcome bag - with a pint of milk! Thank you. Sykes / Lyme Bay Cottages have been great in the past, with helpful automatic messages and easy check-in. However, when we wanted to extend our stay by a day it was a nightmare getting hold of anyone. Despite several messages it took 4 days and over an hour on the phone to finally get someone who could help. They then wanted to charge me £30 for the privilege but after I objected they halved this fee. Please get more staff for the phones/website service!

“The property itself was excellent with lovely views as described.”

Being right on the seafront was a real treat. We were aware of the third floor location of the flat but perhaps didn't expect quite so many stairs. The main drawback was the cost, distance and steepness of the walk to the long stay car parks.

Just a little tip for your next stay: Though you can't park, guests can conveniently load and unload their belongings right on Marine Parade, close to the apartment. This should make things easier! We tend to choose Holmbush car park which is just a picturesque walk up through the gardens . You can also check out the parking options on the town's website. We look forward to welcoming you back! “Lovely apartment and in a fantastic location right on the beach.”

Getting to the third floor with bags, buggy and a 2 year old was a bit of a challenge but worth it. Only slight issue was the toaster only had half the slots working but the rest of the apartment, it's facilities, furniture and layout are fantastic. Would love to revisit at some point.

“What an absolutely lovely place to stay.”

We had a problem with the boiler not working our first full day but the man came very quickly and got it working - such a friendly and happy chap. It’s an ideal spot for all areas of Lyme Regis.

“This apartment is light and airy with a fabulous view directly over the beach, sea and harbour.”

It was comfortable and very clean. Kitchen was very well equipped, better than a lot of places we've stayed before. Lovely to have the sound of the sea in the background. Appreciated the bag of local foodie items too.

As usual the apartment was very clean and cosy, perfect for a Christmas stay. The added treats were lovely particularly the bottle of fizz. Would highly recommend this lovely flat.

“We had a great time.”

The apartment was clean and bright with amazing sea views. We always ate our breakfast looking at the view. There is no out side space but it is near the beach and the gardens, so that wasn’t really a problem. We did have a problem with the plug in the bathroom sink which we did manage to resolve by buying a plunger which we left in case the happens again.

“A beautiful property.”

“Lovely apartment, beautiful sea views and restaurants nearby.”

There was no tv in the main bedroom (not that this was an issue to us) but i think the listing needs to be changed to reflect this and the bin storage notices as there was no lock on these. Overall a fab place to stay and we loved the choice of books and games and the welcome pack was a very nice touch.

“This lovely flat is the perfect location for watching the world go by, bird and sea watching - a real birds eye view.”

“The only issue we had was with the entrance door key pad.”

As the restaurant was closed during the Christmas period (and there appeared to every few people staying at the apartments) we went for an evening walk and didn't have a phone or torch with us. When we returned we were unable to see the key pad and had to buy a torch in Tesco (15 mins before closing on Christmas Eve). I know everybody is attached to their phone and that probably this is not an issue outside Christmas as the restaurant would be open. A warning to guests during these holiday periods in winter may be helpful. I guess the more expensive solution would be an illuminated key pad. A small issue but we could have been locked out on Christmas Eve.
