Malcolm “Excellent location, shame about the parking (read the property details carefully).”
The property needs some TLC, little things let it down, for example, rusty bin in bathroom, rusty shower riser rail making the shower unnecessarily difficult to use, no shelf for bathroom sink, toilet door has been removed but the door jam hasn't been painted, nor has the hinge mechanism been removed. The property is at the lower price point, but some things aren't excusable on price. The kitchen is small, difficult to store food for a week (there aren't any spare storage cupboards). Some ...
Some crockery needs a deep clean. There’s a washing machine, probably a dishwasher would be more helpful (aware it's a personal choice) These small things, relatively cheap to sort, spoil the overall experience.

Jayne “We have stayed in the Garden Suite many times now & would be happy to recommend.”
We do always ask for twin beds & for the 3rd year this has not actioned for our arrival despite being assured it would be only a week earlier. It was sorted quickly once we'd managed to get in touch. It's in a perfect position, always clean & tidy. The welcome pack is a nice touch & always useful. The cleaning pack came with 3 x dishwasher tablets but there is no dishwasher in the property- maybe washing tablets would be more helpful. When the upstairs flat is in use it's very noisy, you can hear every footstep but it hasn't stopped us rebooting
- Jayne, August 2025John “What a delightful apartment!”
We loved the welcome pack which contained delicious local treats The apartment was spotless The bed comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed Basic cleaning tools and products were supplied which was a nice touch The sofa was however just a bit too small for comfortably sitting on at the end of a day, but that’s a minor point. Parking in Lyme is very expensive so the garage provided with the apartment was very welcome, but it is quite a walk away from the apartment. The position of the apartment in Lyme Regis was prime with the harbour and beach just steps away The varied bars and cafes cater for all tastes and the ice cream shops are plentiful The town with independent shops are at the top of the hill which are pleasant to wander around ….. The table at the front of the property is lovely for a lazy breakfast overlooking the boats coming and going Overall a lovely apartment in a prime location
- John, May 2025Nigel “Still no handrail on the outside steps which we have requested a number of times before as have others.”
shaving light flickers on and off. crockery shelving is to high cant reach safely either needs lowering or aset of small steps need to be prvided, Im 5' 9and cant reach crockery and glasses safely.
- Nigel, May 2025Susan “Perfect location and well-equipped property.”
We found the locks rather tricky and the parking provided, we didn't use, after following advice in previous feedback. The clock could do with a new battery.
- Susan, March 2025Tracey “Property was in good location, nice and clean however glasses at the back of the cupboard were thick of dust i had to wash the gin glasses before using them.”
Nice and warm suitable for 2 people. Small court yard ideal if the dog will use it mine had to go out the front as it’s a bigger space. Carpets could do with a clean. No whisk for scramble egg or anything plastic for microwave had to use ceramic to warm up beans which made the ceramic very hot. Comfy bed. Lot of noise from above apartment. Key collection is not at the property but a short drive to collection point. All in all a pleasant stay, just minor ste backs as mentioned
- Tracey, December 2024Janette “The flat was very clean and equipped for two people heating and hot water worked well.”
The bed nice and big very comfortable Would book again if coming to Lyme.
- Janette, November 2024Nige “Love the property having all that is needed for a lovely break.”
Never really worked out where the garage is, might be a good idea to include a street map with this in the property info book. Giving the cost of parking even in disabled bays could lyme bay holidays not offer as part of the booking cost a weekly parking pass ? Would have been nice to be warned about the disruptive works outside as this made access a challenge for my disabled wife which kind of defeated the choosing of this property being at the bottom of Lyme, also being wakened early by the soothing sounds of a pneumatic hammer very relaxing. Wouldn't normally expect to have to undertake housekeeping duties ( the stripping of beds, collecting towels ) to be our job having paid for a holiday ? maybe rethink this going forwards.
- Nige, October 2024Michael “Excellent property in a great location near the sea front and The Cobb.”
Good inside space and well equipped.
- Michael, October 2024Iain “Flat excellent .”
Clean ,nicely furnished ,great position for beach and pubs, quiet, etc. I cannot fault the property. I did ask for single beds to be made up however it was not a problem as it is a very large bed. Only reason 4 stars is the car park. It is 25-30minytes walk . Not an enormous problem if you are fit. It is very narrow ,even for my Skoda Fabia. The main problem is that because of the position of the garage entrance it can be very easily blocked by inconsiderate users of the other garages prohibiting getting to your car.. I will come back but unlikely to use the garage.
- Iain, September 2024Jayne “Hi, we have already booked for next year as we love it here.”
For 2 years running we have requested twin beds & neither time has that been actioned. It was sorted quickly but shouldn't have had to be. There were no forks in the kitchen which I appreciate is trivial but necessary. The hot water had been switched off, not sure why, people had been staying previously. The place was spotlessly clean & the beds very comfortable, as I said we have already rebooked so nothing important wrong.
- Jayne, August 2024David “The Garden Suit which we stayed in was a great little place, everything that’s needed was there.”
It’s only a few seconds away from the beach, what more could you want.
- David, August 2024Julie “The property has a great location with access to the beaches my only issue is why for a pet friendly property does it need cream carpet this was already showing signs of spills and foot passage although there was a request to take off footwear this had not been followed also being a bottom floor apartment the noise from above was at times usually on guests arriving during the day no problem but at 11.”

- Julie, July 2024Lindsey “What a lovely comfortable flat for a holiday.”
Close to everything, could not have asked for more.
- Lindsey, May 2024Nigel “Needs grab rails into the kitchen and toilet and hand rails on the steps leading up to the property these are not provided we would recommend you would try to find somewhere on one level.”
As we are both disabled we would not recommend this place .Beech hut would be better
- Nigel, May 2024Ian “Outside tap for dog washing would be appreciated.”
- Ian, April 2024Debbie “Wonderful apartment spotlessly clean and all very comfortable we would love to come again.”
Close to local amenities. Front steps need a handrail for arthritic people like me that's my only suggestion otherwise it was perfect!

Lovely welcome pk. Clean and tidy, Lovely place to stay, would definitely love to stay again. So near to great places to eat. Very near to the beach, but still quiet.
- Deborah, October 2023Nigel “Coulddowith ability of weeding in back yard and steps around front entrance.”
Wall under lounge window needs painting and plaster in bedroom on the steps is broken grab rails required forkltchesteps ratings for front steps would be hellpfull

Mary “A lovely holiday apartment for two in a fantastic location.”
Clean and comfortable.
- Mary, October 2023Paul “The private secure yard area was great with the dog.”
Excellent location close to the sea and harbour.
- Paul, September 2023Jean “Lovely few days stay.”
- Jean, September 2023Mike “We really liked this property.”
It is roomy except for the galley kitchen area. Position is excellent to enjoy Lyme and a good view of course. Negatives. The parking isn't great but good to have something. The door lock isn't very smooth and can take several goes. Finally the waste bin instructions need updating. So, nothing significant. Thanks for a great holiday.
- Mike, September 2023Mark “Excellent location and facilities The garden was lovely Welcoming pack was an added bonus We will return”
- Mark, September 2023Jayne “We have stayed in this property previously & have already re booked for next year so no complaints about the property.”
There are parts that need a lick of paint-under the window - but we went late summer so maybe that's planned. The beds are extremely comfortable & the kitchen, although small had everything we needed. Our problems were more to do with Sykes cottages, we arrived Sunday to find no keys in the keysafe. We had asked for the twin beds (2 emails & a phone call) but that had not been done. Luckily there was an emergency number & a very helpful maintenance engineer, Andy, on hand to sort both issues.
- Jayne, September 2023Carol “The apartment was perfect!”
Being disabled it was great being all set out on one level and so close to all the local amenities and Monmouth Beach so my Assistance Dog could have his afternoons off and play in the sea! The only problem I had was collecting the keys! There was no way I could get up the hill and all the taxis weren't running until 5pm so I had a lot of waiting around to do. Thankfully, on the day I left, a couple I had made friends with, returned my keys for me as I was worrying about how I could do it! All in all I had a wonderful time and will definitely be back if there was a way of getting the keys without going up the hill to collect them! Thank you!
- Carol, June 2023Phil “We had a lovely relaxing stay the apartment was excellent in a great location would definitely be back again in the future.”
Thank you
- Phil, April 2023Marie “Hi lovely comfortable appt spotlessly clean and close to all amenities .”
..really enjoyed it. Only comment would be that the boiler in bedroom was a bit noisy and kept my husband awake . Otherwise perfect thank you
- Marie, February 2023Thank you very much for your lovely feedback, we are very glad you enjoyed your stay. We will look into the boiler. Property Owner
Sandra “We loved the cottage but wished the backyard had been cleaned”
- Sandra, July 2022Robin “Garage. Just too remote.”
Bathroom very small and needs enlarging. Wooden floor in room above accentuates footsteps and so can be Disturbing later on in day.
