“The steep hill proved difficult with the cars.”

I do not recall this being mentioned on the advert. I would have been useful to mention this. I found the beds uncomfortable. Pillows were too hard and it was only until the last day that we found other types of pillows hidden away. I do not recall this being mentioned on the advert. I would have been useful to mention this. I found the beds uncomfortable. Pillows were too hard and it was only until the last day that we found other types of pillows hidden away. The house was lovely and had everything we could have wanted but we found it too cluttered with personal items which made us feel a little uncomfortable at times. Whilst the house is a good size, I dont think we could have comfortably fit 6 adults. The lounge furniture is too big, clunky and needing some TLC. The dining table is a good size so we never used the kitchen table. This just got in the way. The house decor is very mix matched. Quirky! Bedroom curtains that actually meet in the middle would be useful.

About the location

MORCOMBELAKE

Bridport 2 miles. Lyme Regis 7 miles. West Bay 4 miles.

Morcombelake is a small village located on the A35 between Lyme Regis and Bridport, in touching distance of Golden Cap - the highest point on the south coast of England - and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Home to the famous 'Dorset Knob' biscuit, the village has a small store with post office and an excellent farm shop, Felicity's.

Nearby you will find the pretty seaside village of Seatown, with its excellent pub and great fossiling beach, which allows access to the walk along the coastal path, which affords spectacular views across the sparkling waters of Lyme Bay towards Portland, Chesil beach and the Dorset coast. A short drive east takes you to the ancient rope-making town of Bridport, and the harbour at West Bay, or venture west to visit the picturesque seaside resorts of Charmoith & Lyme Regis. An excellent holiday base from which to explore this scenic area.

For the security of the building and guests: There are IR triggered spotlights for the parking area, and the path around the house, There are also outdoor security cameras at the property, but these are not active whilst guests are in residence unless requested prior to arrival.
