Lyme Zest

Lyme Zest is a lovely apartment in a great location with good parking.

It had everything we could have needed for a short break - really well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and it was very peaceful. It was ideal for being able to walk down into the town (also on the bus route) and a good base for visiting other local places. Would certainly recommend!

The house was lovely.

It was decorated to a high standard. The owner had well stocked the house with everything we needed for a lovely week. Parking was on site with large parking bays. Plenty of cooking utensils . A nice touch with a bottle of wine on arrival. Thank you so much to the owners.. Lovely patio with table and chairs with lovely views. Will certainly be booking again.

We had a fabulous stay in Lyme Zest.

The apartment is so well equipped with everything and more that you could need for your stay. The little touches were really appreciated. We also enjoyed some of the games in the evenings, especially bananagrams! Very clean apartment and super comfy. We managed the hill everyday so we are now all super fit! Would love to stay again.

Beautiful apartment, very well decorated and maintained.

They have thought of everything with the facilities. Not too far out of town, an easy walk down although the hill might challenge less able visitors walking back up. A generous parking space suitable for larger cars. Beautiful views from the lovely decking, which catches the morning sun, in full shade by the afternoon. Would definitely book again.

The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed.

It is light and airy and the balcony was lovely to sit out on and enjoy the view. The complimentary bottle of wine was very much appreciated. It’s our second year of booking and we’d happily book again.

Lyme Zest was the perfect little stay for us.

Really well maintained, lovely decor, comfortable and spacious for our family of 3 and our dog, and lots of lovely little personal touches that just helped to elevate our stay. The location was great for us but just be aware that the walk back up from the sea front is uphill, but gives great views!

Great little place -well presented and equipped -good location to walk into town -it was very easy to park ( we have a big car ) .

Nice bottle of white left in the fridge !! Much appreciated ! Only possible suggestion ( and it did not detract from our enjoyment of the flat ) would be an extending table as only two people at once ( we are tall

We enjoyed a lovely week at Lyme Zest.

It was extremely well equipped and we used the slow cooker which was very useful. The place was very clean and well presented. We had mixed weather but that did not spoil our holiday. Parking was great just outside the apartment. We walked into Lyme and back on several days, it is a lovely walk. Would recommend Lyme Zest and hope to go back.

The flat was well described, but as we are tall people we did feel a little cramped!

The chairs & sofa were not the most comfortble for us, and the shower in the en suite was rather small. However most people would not have any problem. We knew that there would be a reasonably long walk in to the town and that the way back was a failrly steep hill but that did not detract from the property's location. All in all we had a good 3 nights which were very good value.

Lyme Zest is a comfortable and well equipped apartment.

A pretty walk along the river takes you into the centre of the town where there are several very nice cafes and pubs. We had a very enjoyable holiday.

It was spotlessly clean and all the facilities you could think of. The beds were very comfy and location great. Lovely walk to the town via the river. The information book includes a map which was very useful as was all the information in it. Furnishings were lovely too. Would definately recommend.

Everything we could have needed was there and we enjoyed the fabulous view from the decking come rain or shine. We are a couple in our mid-seventies and enjoyed walking all over and around, but a couple of times we struggled up the hill and were grateful for a well placed bench half way up Silver Street. So we would definitely recommend the property unreservedly but would just advise anyone with mobility issues to consider its location very carefully.

This is a great place to stay, with everything you need, great location to explore this amazing area.

Nice having a decked area to sit out on especially at breakfast time. Amazing Gelatos in the town and Poco pizza highly recommended but advisable to book, amazing view of the bay.

Lyme Zest accommodation was absolutely perfect for our stay in the resort,clean and very well equipped for a perfect holiday break with good spacious and very comfortable and affording a safe place for our little dog to enjoy our experience.

Everything thought of in respect of making the holiday enjoyable with the well situated holiday home,and would highly recommend to my family and friends.

We loved the decor in this apartment and its proximity to the seafront.

Parking was easy and good location to visit Lyme Regis & other places in the area. We were not aware how steep the roads are into the town, so may choose a property nearer to the beach if we visit Lyme Regis again as car parking charges can be quite expensive. We did have a lovely holiday in this property though as it was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Fabulous flat in a good location.

Found some super routes down to the seafront..all of theses are marked on a map in the folder so that was really useful. The Roman/ river route was very pretty. Very clean apartment had everything we needed. Beds really comfortable that makes such a difference. Plenty of storage. Nice outside decking balcony.Weather was beautiful the whole holiday so we were very lucky. Would return to this flat for sure.

The property is in a good location and was clean and tidy.

The facilities were good, however, the beds, chairs and sofa lacked suitable comfort. The crockery was limited and lacked suitable sizes for hot drinks.

Lovely property in a great location Well equipped and set up and would be lovely in the summer.

Struggled with the electric heaters until found the information leaflets in a drawer, and the cupboards were too high for two short people and only found the steps in the cupboard the day before leaving. Perhaps a little more sign posting in the information folder would be helpful. Perhaps a couple of USB charge points somewhere too. Great accommodation though, loved it.

Absolutely lovely New Year’s stay at Lyme Zest for my daughter’s birthday and to blow out the cobwebs after Christmas.

Everything was perfect, the kitchen was very well equipped and the apartment was not only really well appointed but also really lovely and cosy! Lovely views and a short walk into town, fab.

Lyme zest was home from home, with all that we needed to make Ower holiday one of the best we have had in Dorset.

Just two things no cupboard space to put food, plus no iron or bord ? Apart from this nice property great location.

What a wonderful apartment, very well equipped and furnished to the highest standard.

Location was perfect, especially having your own car space. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need, particularly good pans, trays, crockery and utensils, although a spare cupboard to put your own food in (eg cereals, bread etc) would be helpful. An extra shelf in en suite to put your own toiletries on would also be helpful but facilities were spotless with a really good shower.

Beautiful apartment, super clean and loved the wine!

Beds are super comfy and plenty of room. Only issue we had was due to the location and our senior dog she couldn't manage the walk back from the town uphill. This shouldn't deflect from the beauty of this holiday home, just one to be aware of if you have an elderly fur baby :) Thank you so much!

We had a lovely 2 night stay here.

The property is spacious and well kept with a lovely balcony to relax on (ignoring the carpark below). The location is slightly out of the town and up a fairly steep hill, but perfectly manageable if you are reasonably fit (our 5 year was fine, but younger might need some encouragement). I would definitely recommend and would be happy to rebook.

Lovely refurbished apartment with everything you need.

Close to pubs and down the hill to Lyme Regis beach area. Very well situated to visit rest of Dorset, Devon and Somerset. The only thing we didn't like was the sofa and chair, not very comfortable, but couldn't fault anything else.

The apartment had everything we needed and we enjoyed the extra touches like the diffuser.

Lovely views from the patio. Walk to the centra aprox 10 minutes. Beware of the big hill coming back, but the X51 & X53 buses run regularly

The property was as described on the web page.

The essentials such as bathrooms and beds were exceptional, as was the wi fi (becoming very important almost essential) and parking. We realize the property has only been in use for about eight months but the decor was very good, unmarked and the variety of pictures on the walls interesting. Are they really covers of long playing records in the wall or a photo?. Should we want a return visit to west Dorset in the future, we would use the property again.

Really well fitted out and we loved the quiet location albeit still just 10 minutes walk from central Lyme Regis. Great little kitchen space with ample equipment which we enjoyed so not having to eat out all the time. My only suggestion would be a larger bed in the main bedroom. The room is big enough to comfortably fit a king size bed rather than the standard double currently in place. That said, we loved our stay and would definitely come back for our next visit to the area.

Very clean, warm and welcoming.

It was located further out of Lyme than we expected but maybe we didn't properly interpret the wording of the listing. Everything we needed was there, including a hair dryer still in it's box. No one had altered the clocks after the end of summer time. They remain an hour wrong

First class accommodation except for the television signal unabled us to watch programs.

The outside steps are dangerous especially at night with no lights . They require some indication as to where the edge is in the day ( white line). On occasions stumbled . Heavy bulky cups 1 star. Hob 1 star. Overall 10 star. Kind regards.

We had a 5-night stay in Lyme Zest during July/August 2024 and absolutely loved it.

To be fair, we had the most perfect weather imaginable but it was topped off by staying in this lovely apartment. The owners have clearly made an effort to make you feel welcome. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch. The apartment itself is beautifully appointed. It's been newly refurbished and had everything we needed for ourselves, our two boys and our dog. It is a good 10-15 minute walk to town and 20 minutes right to the beach although we weren't hurrying so you could probably do it more quickly. As other reviews have said, the walk back is very much uphill but it's Lyme Regis - you expect a few hills! Best route is down the path to the side of the property and then a lovely walk along the river into town. The next time we're planning to come this way, we'll definitely look to stay at Lyme Zest again.

We have just returned from a short break at Lyme Zest.

It was located in a very quiet area, with views over the town. Everything inside is pristine and spotless. I have never visited a holiday home that is so well equipped. It is difficult to think of anything that we may have needed. There are lots of great bars, pubs and restaurants in the town. We had some great meals. The local beer, Palmers, is very good if that’s your thing! We even went to a concert at the Marine Theatre. It was a very relaxing and comfortable week. As others have noted, the walk back up is steep. We used Eco Cabs, the number is in the binder, who were very reasonable and efficient. We will be back!

What a beautiful comfortable holiday home this is.

Great location in Lyme Regis, very well equipped and thought out. The owners even provide a cosy bed for the dog which ours very much appreciated. Easy to walk into town along the river straight to the micro brewery, very handy! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Dorset as there are so many place to visit on the gorgeous Jurassic coast.

We have stayed a couple of times at Lyme Zest in Lyme Regis and really love the place.

We have visited with our two children and also with friends, two completely different types of break, but it was ideal for both. It is clean, tastefully decorated, in a good location and with a nice outdoor space. We even made a couple of minor improvement suggestions which were implemented by the next time we visited. It has good parking, right outside the property. There is a bit of a steep walk down into the centre of town and beach which might not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues but we enjoyed the walk.

We stayed at Lyme Zest in January 2025 and had a wonderful experience.

Lyme Zest is a stylish and luxurious apartment, just a short 10-minute walk from the beach. The apartment was immaculate, and without a doubt, the best-equipped holiday home I’ve ever stayed in. There is a generous amount of chic decor , creating a welcoming 'home-from-home' atmosphere. The high ceilings enhance the sense of space and luxury, while the view from the decking over the coastal valley added to the positive experience of our stay. The accommodation was flawless, and I’ll certainly be rebooking in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at Lyme Zest.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need for a stay by the sea. Make sure you walk by the river down to the town and sea front, it’s much prettier than using the main road! Lyme Regis itself is lovely, with lots of great places to eat and lots of fossils to find (we recommend the fossil walk organised by the museum.) We will definitely come back to Lyme Regis and when we do, we will definitely stay at Lyme Zest again.

What a joy!

From the décor, artwork to the well stocked kitchen. I look forward to coming back in the summer to watch the sunset over Golden Cap from your terrace.

Needless to say, just like everyone else, we've loved our stay here because quite frankly, there isn't a thing not to like.

Lyme Zest accommodation was in a good quiet location making it absolutely perfect for our stay.

It was clean and beautifully decorated, also comfortable, and well equipped. It had a very spacious kitchen with everything we needed for an evening in. The beds were comfortable which makes a difference, and it was lovely to come back in the evening to relax in such a beautiful place with lovely surroundings. The outside decking area was a bonus so was the car parking. There is also a nice walk down to the town and beach area. All in all, I can't speak highly enough of this beautiful apartment in Lyme Regis and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

My family and I recently stayed at Lyme Zest for the second time after our first lovely stay last year.

Once again, we enjoyed every second, starting with the welcome wine in the fridge (forgot about that - nice surprise) to the little touches that really make it feel like you're spending time in someone's happy place. There's even a picture on the wall saying exactly that. Thanks again for a great mini-break. We love Lyme Regis and when we're back again (which will definitely happen), we'll be staying at Lyme Zest again.

I visited Lyme Regis at the end of August and stayed at Lyme Zest for a few days with friends.

Such a welcoming, well thought out and stylishly decorated place. Fantastically located to visit the beach and the abundance of amazing restaurants. We had the whole range of typical British weather which actually added wonderful energy to the many walks, reassured by coming back to a comfortable and cosy place at Lyme Zest. We would definitely stay there again and have would recommend.

What a fabulous time we had staying at this beautiful property at the end of September.

The whole place is very thoughtfully decorated for rest and relaxation, with beautiful muted tones and tasteful decor. We spent one entire rainy afternoon in the lounge, feeling incredibly comfortable and relaxed and there was everything there that we needed. The proximity to the town centre is great, if not a little hilly and on one occasion we did cheat and use the very handy and reasonably priced Woodmead car park at the bottom of the hill. Absolutely loved our time there and would not hesitate to return.

This was our 2nd trip to Lyme Regis and our 2nd stay at Lyme Zest and it was as good, if not better, than on our first visit.

Lyme Zest has everything you could possibly need for a short stay (and for an even longer one to be honest.) The kitchen is well stocked with all you could possibly need and there's even a dishwasher (who wants to do the washing up when they're on holiday?) The beds are very comfy but best of all is the shower - the one in the en suite is the best shower ever - I wish I could take it home with me! Lyme Zest is also ideally located with great views of the town - it's especially pretty at night when everything is lit up. The walk down into the town via the Lim River Path is delightful, with the opportunity to stop for refreshments at the Mill along the way - although be warned, the journey back up the hill is quite steep in places. Lyme Regis itself is lovely with lots of quaint shops, a beautiful seafront and, of course, lots of fossils to hunt! We will definitely be coming back and when we do, we will definitely look to stay at Lyme Zest again.
