Plus there is a steep climb up to the lodge which when walking the dog up and down could be difficult. However there were some dvd films to use so we did watch a film in the evening. The weather was disappointing, had the weather been better we would have made full use of the large decking with it’s wonderful views. The local pub was a bit of a hike would need to take the car. I would say that the lodge is in need of some maintenance. Sorry to be negative but honestly we did make the most of our holiday and did enjoy the surrounding areas .
First of all, I would like to say that when we send you a welcome email and also a notice that is up in the Hideaway, that if there is ANYTHING not to your satisfaction to contact us and that we are here to help. Why oh why wait until you return home and leave feedback like this?
Regarding the welcome pack - we leave sachets of milk and sugar and tea plus a pack of biscuits. This is a self catering accommodation and would not supply any other foodstuffs.
There has previously been a damp problem due to a leaking toilet and all this has been rectified, unfortunately it is only a lodge and we are unable to completely cover any previous evidence.
The tv reception is normally good - why did you not let us know. It was not until our current guests had the same issue but we were able to fix this straight away to the best of our ability.
Obviously we cannot control the area, and I would have thought guests would check the area out regarding the surroundings. There is no steep climb to the lodge, we have a driveway which is a little steep but the area around the lodge is flat.
We receive many many emails of guests that love the accommodation and surrounding area, including the cleanliness. We apologise for the missed cobwebs.
