Excellent accommodation.

Had a lovely week in early December. I knew the location of Bay view would be good as visited Lyme Regis before. Picking up keys, parking on site, nice arrival pack, clear folder with all info, even the extension leads next to the bed all carefully thought out. Nice comfortable bed and everything you needed. Spot on thank you. Of course must mention brilliant Sea view and balcony leading off bedroom and lounge.

This was our second stay at this apartment.

It’s well presented, comfortable with a great sea view and bonus small balcony. It is looking a bit tired as furnishing same as my first visit in 2023. But that said is was comfortable, we had a great time and yes I would book it again.

... Very tight parking,, could not get the electric fire in the lounge to work,,the bulbs in the kitchen and lounge go a bit funny ie,flash,,,couple of chips out of the bottom drawer in the chest in the double bedroom. Otherwise we had a nice break and lovely weather!

We would agree with others that this apartment is in close proximity to the town, beach and harbour with lovely sea views.

Parking is really handy but tight, however our Volvo XC 40 just fitted in the garage below the property. The first impressions going up the back stairs are underwhelming and initially gave us concern but the actual apartment is fine. There is a pod coffee machine not mentioned in the particulars.

there was a nice sea view from the flat and the beds were very comfortable and the welcome pack was nice, the only thing I found very tiring were all the stairs I had to climb to reach the flat.

A lift would have been very welcome as I am an older person.

We stayed for 3 nights.

The key collection was straight forward and once we found the property and parked, we didn't need to use the car for the rest of our stay. Once inside, the apartment was wonderful with spectacular views across Lyme bay and beyond. The small balcony was perfect to sit and enjoy the sunshine and view. The kitchen was great with everything you would need. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. The location was very central and very easy to walk to the promenade to enjoy the bars and cafés. People with mobility issues might struggle though as there were about 30 plus steps up to the apartment, but being a bit higher up meant we had a much better view. We would most definitely return and would highly recommend this property.

The 40 steps up to the apartment demand a certain level of fitness and the car park is certainly a challenge even with a small car.

The lack of manuals for the kitchen goods meant we had to call out the maintenance team to turn the oven on properly! Even he was puzzled for more than 15 minutes. A great location close to the sea.

Great location, close to everything but still very quiet.

Loved the view looking out at the water watching the swimmers and boaters. Very well equipped and the welcome package was more than we expected. As we were travelling by bus it was great to be only a few minutes from the bus stop and we were allowed to leave the keys in the unit rather than going up the hill with our bags to return the keys to the office.

6 Bay View Court was a lovely place to stay, the view of the sea was incredible, hard to take your eyes off it!

Everything was clean and tidy, lovely decor and very comfortable with everything provided. Close proximity to the shops, beaches and a little theatre almost next door where we had a great evening watching a Scottish folk group. We had a very slight problem in the apartment which was dealt with very promptly by the friendly team at Sykes! Will definitely go again.

We love number 6, it’s a perfect location and even if the weather isn’t kind you can enjoy the view from the comfort of the sofa!

Lovely views. Very comfortable and well equipped. Take heed about parking advice - definately for a small car. Quite a few steps up to the right floor. Would definately consider staying again.

Great property in a perfect location overlooking the sea and all attractions, sea front promenade and good restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

Comfortably furnished with good attention to detail made for an enjoyable relaxing break. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely return. One point though parking space was very tight wouldn’t suit a large vehicle.

My friend could have broken her an ankle,the steps leading up to the garage have white lines on them ,but the one into the garage doesn't, although you have a big sign on the door saying mind the step she was to busy concentrating on carrying and opening the door and the light doesn't come on until you Go in .

a white line would be good to be put on the step going into the garage just in case someone else does the same,she literally fell onto the car luckily she didn't twist it or anything but it shocked her and we wouldn't want anybody to do the same because nobody wants that at the end of such a great time

A few issues.

Hot water was scalding hit and could not see how to turn t down. Flashing and tiles above sliding door dislodged. Parking difficult due to residents taking over all available slots. Sliding door and bedroom door to balcony difficult to open. Just took the edge off it.

The property itself is really good and in an ideal location with a fantastic sea view from both the living room and main bedroom windows.

The only negative is that Sykes/Lyme Bay Holidays ask you to remove the bed linen yourself and take the bins out. While these are small things in themselves, these are the kind of things that you don't want to have to do when you're on holiday. If it wasn't for this, I'd give it a 10 recommend.

We've stayed in this apartment for three weeks every year for six years (one week in the spring, two in the autumn) but I'm afraid this year was the last time.

The parking is so tight that last Easter we had to stay in Lyme all week because we couldn't get out of the garage as we were blocked in by other cars. (By then we had already booked for this year.) More of an issue than that however is the cost. We had booked to go for Easter week itself in 2020. The cost would have been £755. In 2024 Easter week is £1,217. I know prices have risen but an increase of 62% over just four years is too much. Even the week before Easter 2024 is priced at over £1,000. We have taken the decision to stay elsewhere in Lyme Regis for that week which is costing £300 less. It's a shame but you have to draw a line somewhere.

We have stayed 4 or 5 times before mainly in January - thank you it's lovely and "Lyme Bay" are great - nice welcome pack.

Condensation was really bad this time in all rooms and your dehumidifier helps in the small bedroom but we have never seen the walls in that room running wet and the emulsion paint just wiping off on my hands. The bathroom tiled walls were dripping all day even with the "light operated" fan use. Maintenance Mark was swift to respond to our call out and very polite. In our view, these north walls are so cold and would benefit from cavity insulation or thermal lining. The bathroom is uncomfortably cold albeit with the heated towel rail. We want to be constructive as we have so enjoyed the flat. Also the new pricing structure under Sykes is now prohibitive for us going forward - a big regret.

Nice property located in the heart of Lyme Regis, perfect for exploring the town and plenty of places to eat nearby.

The apartment has lovely sea views, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The sofas really needed replacing, the cushions were saggy and not very supportive.

Have stayed here before several times. Metal bed frame uncomfortable. Needs more pillows. Bathroom fan noisy.

The flat has a fantastic view and is in a great location.

It is comfortable and the allocated parking is very handy, although large cars will be a little tight. The only negatives I have is the stairs to access all of the accommodation (probably not best for infirm or push chairs) and no dish washer (first world problem I know). Overall, we had a great time and the flat is recommended.
