    “Although the cottage was very clean and as described, there were multiple things that previous holiday goers had mentioned would be useful and they still had not been added.”

    For example: there were no hand towels, no outdoor light (which is frustrating for a pet friendly cottage), the bin/recycling system was unclear. Two this I would add is that 1 tea towel for a week is not enough, especially for 3-4 adults, also fitted sheets on the bed would be far more suitable considering flat sheets always move. The cottage itself was lovely and reasonable for the location, but it is frustrating to read multiple people have previously offered feedback that still has not ...

Conybeare Cottage is a bright and modern, semi-detached holiday home located in the picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis, Dorset. The contemporary interior is complimented by quality furnishings and personal touches throughout. The open-plan living area is an ideal space for the family to relax with the adjoining kitchen fitted with everything needed for mealtimes around the dining table. The rear garden with patio area and outdoor furniture is perfect for enjoying some alfresco dining or sitting with a book and cold drink while the children play on the lawn. With two bedrooms, a tastefully decorated double and a single bedroom with an optional pull-out single bed, this property can accommodate up to three adults or a family of four. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. A 15 minute walk or a short car trip will take you into the centre of Lyme Regis which offers an excellent range of independent shops, galleries and restaurants. The family-friendly beaches offer an excellent day out with water sporting activities on offer and boat trips available from the famous Cobb harbour. An area renowned for its fossils, a trip to neighbouring Charmouth will allow you to follow in the footsteps of famous fossil hunters including Mary Anning and William Conybeare, from where this cottage takes its name, and learn about the Jurassic Coast at the Charmouth Heritage Centre. The South West Coastal footpath makes this area popular with walkers and takes in many sites of interest including Golden Cap as well as seaside villages of Seatown and Eype. Further afield Forde Abbey with its historical house and gardens or Durdle Door are great places to visit. Set in a traditional seaside town and with superb attention to detail and consideration, Conybeare Cottage is a wonderful base from which to explore this beautiful part of Dorset, any time of the year. Please note: If the pull-out truckle bed is being used, space is very limited in the second bedroom so please bear this in mind when booking. One small/medium sized dog is accepted.
