“Lovely clean, warm and comfortable apartment.”

Great welcome pack most appreciated. Shame about the awful 'view' from the lounge over run down flats and broken, rusty garages. From the pictures towards the balcony it looks like it's overlooking water but this, as we found out, was the opaque balcony front! We wouldn't have booked if we'd known this as we like a view when on holiday.

“This is the third time we have stayed in this beautiful apartment.”

We took our friends with us who were also impressed how clean and comfortable the apartment was. It’s a lovely gesture to receive the welcome gifts when you arrive after a long journey. Coffee tea biscuits sweets milk. Not forgetting the cleaning package. The fact it’s not far to all the amenities everything is close by. Had a lovely stay as usual. We would highly recommend staying at Driftwood. Thank you

“Second time we have stayed in Driftwood.”

Everything was excellent as last time. Very clean and well appointed, and the parking spot outside makes all the difference. The only minor things which need to be fixed are the top knob on the shower is loose, making it difficult to start and stop the shower. The bathroom door handle is very loose. We think the adjoining apartment has residents who live there. They have the TV loud and smoke, making it an unpleasant experience on the balcony, which we only tried once! However, we would still stay at Driftwood again, and probably will.

“The property was excellent.”

We have stayed in many cottages and apartments in the Bridport area, and this is up there with the best. Very well appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and wonderfully located - especially as it has its own parking space. We would definitely recommend, and hope to return.

“Lovely apartment in a great location.”

The weather was against us so didn't do much exploring, locally, but made the most of the buses to Weymouth and Bridport. The welcome pack was lovely. As pointed out by previous holiday makers, the bath/shower definitely needs more safety handles for those of us of a certain age. The only hand rail was on the wall at the bottom of the bath. Anyone with balance problems has a very good chance of falling onto the shower screen, which swings outwards, which could be a reason not to re-book this great property. Shower cubicles, these days are definitely the way to go.

“Lovely stay at this beautiful apartment.”

It was spacious, light and airy. We had everything we needed plus the bonus of a welcome pack (thank you). This is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of the country, lots of walks from the doorstep so it was great to leave the car in the car park. The space in the car park is a bit tight but we managed. The key safe is in a terrible place for those of us with dodgy knees.

“We really loved the flat - well equipped and an amazing location.”

Thank you very much for the generous welcome pack full of Dorset goodies. The only problem, which I'm sure could be fixed, was that it was impossible to make the shower any cooler than very warm which in the heat we had and with children, made it a bit tricky to have showers. The bath was the same. We followed all the instructions, but I think there is a fault with it. The fridge perhaps needs turning down, as food at the back was getting frozen. Apart from that, we would definitely recommend the flat to friends, in fact we already have.

WEST BAY

Bridport 1.5 miles; Lyme Regis 11 miles.

West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway to the Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, crabbing, boating and golf.
