Coronavirus – COVID-19

What are the current rules going forward for 2021? (Please note these are stated as ‘earliest possible’ dates)

From 19th July restrictions in England will be lifted and we are able to accept any booking which meets our standard booking conditions – but please note should any new government restrictions prevent your booking from proceeding, the options below would be applicable.

Obviously these rules and restrictions are subject to change and this can be applied at very short notice therefore we continue to monitor daily and make ourselves available as much as possible to discuss any questions or concerns you have.

BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE
The above options also apply to new bookings. Should government restrictions prevent you from taking your holiday you will be offered a full refund (less £35 admin fee), or be able to transfer your holiday to a later date with no administration fees.

What changes have been made to maximise safety?

We have carried out a number of changes in order to ensure that properties can be as safe as possible. Please see our safety page for more information – https://www.lymebayholidays.co.uk/for-your-safety

What happens if someone in my party tests positive for Covid-19?

If someone due to stay in the property receives a positive test, you would be offered to defer your holiday to alternative dates (with any difference in holiday cost due), or you can request a refund (less £35 admin fee). Evidence of a positive test would need to be provided. These options would not be applicable if the positive test is within 2 days of the holiday start date.

What if someone in my party needs to self-isolate?

If someone in your party has been told to self-isolate and your holiday cannot continue, you would be offered to defer your holiday to alternative dates (with any difference in holiday cost due). Evidence of self-isolation being required would need to be provided. The option to defer would not be applicable if this is within 2 days of the holiday start date.

What if there is another lockdown, or tier/travel/household restrictions prevent the holiday from taking place?

If Government restrictions prevent the booking from proceeding, you would be offered to defer your holiday to alternative dates (with any difference in holiday cost due), or you can request a refund (less £35 admin fee). Lyme Bay Holidays reserves the right to interpret the rules in place and their decision will be final.

What if someone in my party is asked to shield?

If someone due to travel is being advised to shield, whilst this could take place in the property itself, with the agreement of owners we can defer your holiday. Evidence of shielding would need to be provided. The option to defer would not be applicable if this is within 2 days of the holiday start date.

What if we have not been vaccinated before travelling?

At the moment there is no guidance to suggest that guests will need to be vaccinated in order to take a holiday within the UK. Whilst we appreciate some guests may be considered ‘at risk’, any request to cancel for this reason would fall into our normal cancellation policy – https://www.lymebayholidays.co.uk/help/cancellations

What if I do not feel safe to travel?

Should you not wish to travel due to uncertainty, whilst we fully appreciate individual concerns this would fall into our normal cancelation policy – https://www.lymebayholidays.co.uk/help/cancellations

We realise the stress Covid-19 is causing to people throughout the world and we believe a holiday should be an enjoyable experience, something to help relieve such stress, therefore if you have any questions we would do all we can to help resolve any issues or concerns. Please email us on [email protected] to contact us directly.
