New for 2021 : A detached bungalow which enjoys a private, peaceful setting on the beautiful and historic Rousdon Estate.

Situated mid-way between the coastal towns of Lyme Regis and Seaton, the Estate is set on Devon and Dorset's stunning Jurassic coastline, perched above the spectacularly unspoilt natural canopy of the Undercliff. The area is a haven for wildlife and the estate grounds, with 350 acres of pastures and woodlands, has access, via a very steep footpath, to a private beach.

Comfortably furnished the property is spacious and has a lovely addition of a conservatory at the rear.

The large lawn garden is a particular feature of the cottage, it enjoys a good degree of seclusion with an array of established shrubs and trees. A rural retreat but just 5 minutes by car from Lyme Regis, the property offers an ideal base for those wanting to explore all that the area has to offer.

  • A maximum of two dogs are accepted. Dogs are charged at £20 each per week (or part week).

About Devon (Rousdon)

If you really want to escape the treadmill and wind down in complete peace, few locations are as perfect as Rousdon. At 500 feet above sea-level the walks and views are breath-taking. Food is available at Rousdon Kitchen/Grill, and the Dower House Hotel is open for meals, drinks and light refreshments. Or you could venture the two miles to Lyme Regis and sample some of the many restaurant options, such as seafood at Hix Fish & Oyster House. Nearby Axminster, home to the famous River Cottage HQ, is also worth a visit.
