A beautifully presented and sympathetically modernised 17th Century cottage located in the heart of Colyton, a market town of Saxon origin with winding streets and a wealth of historical buildings.

Situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Colyton is a thriving market town offering a good selection of independent shops, tea rooms and restaurants as well as recreational facilities and riverside walks. A short stroll will take you to the Colyton Tram Station, where you can take a picturesque tram ride alongside the River Axe and the wetlands nature reserve into Seaton.

Sunnyside Cottage has many charming features typical for a property of this age. The comfortable lounge has a cosy feel with ceiling beams and a wood burning stove making it an ideal choice at any time of the year. The open plan kitchen and bathroom have been recently refitted to compliment the character and style of the cottage and provide modern comfort and touches. The three bedrooms offer flexible sleeping options making this a perfect choice for family holidays or for friends or couples wishing to holiday together. A pet friendly cottage, your dog is welcome too.

With the coast only a 15 minutes’ drive away the breath-taking Jurassic Coastline offers a good selection of beaches as well as the quaint fishing village of Beer or the famous Cobb harbour at Lyme Regis all within easy reach. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats.

  • A maximum of two dogs are accepted. Dogs are charged at £20 each per week (or part week).
  • A refundable security deposit of £50 is required for all bookings.

The ancient market town of Colyton with its winding streets and river running through its centre sits in the heart of Devons' Axe Valley. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this Medieval town was once a thriving centre of the wool trade.

Colyton has a good selection of shops, including a butcher, chemist, garden centre and a varied choice of pubs and tea rooms. Its location makes it a perfect setting out point for walking, cycling and exploring the surrounding coast and countryside.
