A delightful barn conversion set in the beautiful Devon village of Dalwood enjoying countryside views in this designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Within a 10 minute walk are the villages independent 800 year old thatched traditional pub with roaring log fireplaces and original flagstone floors and a community run grocery store.

The Cider House is a detached cottage sitting in the grounds of a farmhouse but enjoying privacy and the shared use of a large garden in a peaceful and tranquil setting. An open stream in the gardens and large pond nearby are lovely features but mean supervision of younger children is required. Refurbished to a very good standard the cottage is well equipped and provides stylish and comfortable self-catering accommodation which is perfect for couples or families.

A haven for wildlife, the surrounding area is perfect for walkers with an abundance of bridleways and footpaths.

An ideal base to explore Devon and Dorset’s rolling hills, market towns and beautiful fishing villages. The nearby towns of Axminster and Honiton offer markets with regional foods fresh from the local farms and producers. The world heritage Jurassic Coastline links the regency towns of Sidmouth and historical Lyme Regis, with the quaint villages of Beer and Branscombe in between.

This is a perfect location for those looking for a relaxing holiday tucked away in stunning countryside but just 15 minutes by car to the coast.

  • The gardens are not enclosed and there is a stream at the bottom of the garden and pond nearby so supervision of younger children and dogs will be required
