    “Rosemarie Annex was clean very comfortable very well equipped with everything we needed and spacious.”

    The Owners live next door but we didn't need to bother them as there were no problems we just met them to say hello. It was central to where we wanted to visit Seaton, Beer, Branscombe, Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. Thank you Dan and Hollie for letting us stay at Rosemarie Annex we would recommend this property to anyone who wanted to visit Devon.

    The Owners live next door but we didn't need to bother them as there were no problems we just met them to say hello. Rosemarie Annexe is a charming holiday home situated on the outskirts of the market town of Axminster, Devon and within easy reach of Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast.This delightful retreat, with countryside views and convenient parking, is perfect for small families or friends wanting to have a wonderful base to explore the popular fossil hunting beaches of the Jurassic coast, as well as accessing the many coastal and rural footpaths this area has to offer, whilst providing all you could need to enjoy a self-catering stay. Step inside to discover the well-equipped kitchen, leading to a spacious living/dining room, where you can unwind on the plush seating, enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV or appreciate your home cooked meals around the dining table that comfortably seats three. Outside, the enclosed south facing rear patio area, as well as the front garden offers the ideal setting for alfresco dining or simply soaking up the tranquil surroundings. The property boasts two inviting bedrooms located on the first floor, one, a spacious king, with the other smaller bedroom accommodating a small double. Both offering a peaceful haven for a restful night's sleep. The bathroom is a luxurious retreat, featuring both a bath and a walk-in shower, providing the perfect space to unwind after a day of exploration. Axminster is conveniently situated on the main London Waterloo trainline. From its station you can hop on the train west to the historic city of Exeter, with its stunning cathedral and vibrant quay, well worth a visit for a day or evening out. Venturing East will take you to the towns of Yeovil and Salisbury. Axminster is also home to a range of independent shops, as well as larger supermarkets, perfect for stocking up on essentials for your stay. Located only a short drive away in neighbouring Kilmington, is Millers Farm Shop, selling a wide choice of local produce and fresh meats with the on-site restaurant a popular spot to stop for a bite to eat. Rosemarie Annexe is located within the East Devon AONB, providing a wealth of walking and cycling opportunities such as the nearby location of Trinty Hill. A short car ride away brings you to the seaside town of Seaton, with its mile long seafront and beach which is popular with beach goers and those wishing to enjoy a spot of sea fishing or paddle boarding. Here you can also access the South West Coastal footpath where you can enjoy its breath-taking views along the Jurassic Coast. Seaton is also home to the stunning Axe Estuary and the Seaton Wetlands centre, both providing a haven for birds and wildlife. It is also the beginning of the unique Seaton heritage tramway, that follows a route alongside the river Axe, passing through the wetlands to the historic market town of Colyton. You could also hop over the boarder to Dorset, where you can visit the iron age hill fort of Lamberts Castle with its picturesque views across the Marshwood Vale and out to sea. Or visit the historic seaside town of Lyme Regis where you can spend a day at the beach, take a stroll along its famous Cobb Harbour wall, or follow in the footsteps of Mary Anning and try your hand at fossil hunting.
