“The best view in Lyme!”

Another great visit to Harbour Heights. There's nothing better than waking up and pulling back the curtain to see Lyme Bay twinkling before you. From Golden Cap round to the Cobb you see it all from 2 Harbour Heights. The flat is spacious and well equipped, we had a very comfortable and happy time, thank you. A couple of thoughts not to be published: as we were 4 adults another set of keys would have been useful and also more mugs.

“We had a wonderful few days at 2 Harbour Heights.”

It was a wow factor as we entered the property and saw the view from the living room and balcony. The flat has a lovely big shower bathroom and it had two toilets which was useful. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The welcome pack was really appreciated. I think it would be helpful if the access to the flat was mentioned as there are quite steep metal steps outside and I imagine these would be tricky if wet. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay and watch the beach and paddle boarders on the sea. Thanks.

“A wonderful place to stay in Lyme Regis.”

The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable with those amazing views from the verandah. It was very well equipped but also close to the beach and amenities. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“We were quite disappointed in the standard of this property - we have stayed in about 10 properties in Lyme Regis through Lyme Bay holidays & this was in the worst condition.”

Very dated interior & furniture - in need of complete decoration & looks like maintenance has been disregarded as the property is up for sale - door & window hinges rusty & paint peeling - the price you pay is for the location, view & parking space we get that. There is also a lack of sound insulation from upstairs & downstairs- you can hear the people in the downstairs flat talking even with the doors & windows shut & upstairs floorboards creaking & footsteps whenever they walk.

Thank you for your comments on my flat. I do hope you had a nice time looking at the view, the location and the parking space. Many holiday cottages are purely commercial, glossy and sometimes barren. Harbour Heights 2 is also my home and is decorated and furnished in a style that suits me. As far as rusty hinges etc are concerned, this is one of the things that happens to steel and properties in salt air. You get the view, you get salt air and as the property was built in 1905, sound insulation is an extremely difficult and expensive to install. And NO, I have not disregarded maintenance. Maintenance is an ongoing exercise. Property Owner

“We had a fantastic stay.”

The accommodation was roomy, view was amazing, good shower, comfy beds, well appointed kitchen, good heating system for when it got cold. Very helpful having a decent parking space included. The only slight downside was the creaking floors so you could hear the people in the flat above moving about but this didn't spoil our stay. Would stay there again

“What a view!”

!very short walk to beach and walk along the front. Easy access to town . Very comfortable bed and lounge furniture. All you need in the kitchen provided. Two toilets and a lovely shower. We had a lovely time sitting on the balcony watching the activities

“We had a lovely family holiday in this perfectly situated apartment.”

We have stayed here before and are hoping to stay again next year. The parking is such an asset. The flat is very comfortable and location with access to the gardens and seafront ideal. With the balcony there’s almost no need to leave the apartment!

“The views are absolutely stunning.”

We were lucky enough to choose carnival week and were able to watch many events from our balcony. The apartment was comfortable with the superb views from every room. The extra loo was an added bonus, as was the car parking. Altogether an extremely enjoyable holiday.

“Flat was very comfortable in a very good position for beach and town.”

Beds very comfortable lovely linen. Fantastic views. Heating was on plenty of hot water but we were a little cold in the evening . Would certainly return too the flat

“What a fantastic location and great property.”

Sitting on the veranda with a glass of wine watching the comings and goings of the Cobb. Facilities were great and perfect for a short stay in Lyme. 2 minute walk to marine parade and the harbour and perfect for the high street shops and eateries.

“We loved staying at this property.”

It is very comfortable and well-equipped with lots of nice extra touches provided by the owner. The view from the balcony is fantastic and perfect for sitting at any time of day. The house could have done with a more thorough clean between visitors as the food cupboards in the kitchen needed an extra wipe out and some items had been left in bedside drawers. Aside from that, everything was perfect and we would definitely recommend this property.

The best location ever and with parking. The views are fabulous. Great size accommodation with a good fridge freezer, washing machine and the best shower! Could do with a de clutter out of cupboards to make space for food and also some of the older furniture/sound systems and ornaments not really necessary but other than that we would definitely stay again thank you ;)

“Really loved our stay and we had a wonderful time.”

We were very impressed and grateful for the provision of smaller size children's cutlery. Two minor things that *are* super minor - the kitchen could do with some more glasses; there's a lot of wine glasses, but not a lot of juice/water glasses. Secondly, we were only given two large towels and two hand towels in total for 4 people. It was fine as we had our own beach towels etc, but it would have been nice for more shower towels. All that being said, this was the best holiday we have had in Lyme Regis; we loved the balcony, loved the view, loved the location and the quick access to Monmouth Beach for fossils as well as the swimming beach. We very much enjoyed being able to watch all the Lifeboat Week displays from the balcony.

“Lovely flat with fantastic views.”

The accommodation is spacious and well appointed, but remember it's a converted Victorian house so it's s bit quirky. Like all of Lyme Regis it's hilly so be prepared to climb! Minor improvements might be more information on recycling bins and maybe some leaflets on local attractions? Overall, it's a lovely place and highly recommended.

.But unfortunately found the bed very rickety & too small..My husband ended up sleeping in twin bedroom for a better night's sleep..The furniture is very dated & not very comfortable..The kitchen is very well equipped & a lovely powerful shower ..The French windows in lounge & bedroom lovely onto balcony great for sitting out on a nice day..Steep steps down to front or steep walk if you walk around ..Could be a problem for less able people or with young children..

“View was tremendous and this year we had the added bonus of the end of the jubilee fireworks which we watched from the balcony.”

But, the apartment was really let down by the decor which was dull and dowdy. The bed was too low and too small and, considering the room size, could cope with a king size bed. The fitted wardrobes were of low quality, looked like painted hardwood. There was a slight musty smell even though we had the balcony doors open a lot of the time. And, the first thing we saw when arriving at the apartment was a tatty notice asking us to remove our shoes as the carpet had just been cleaned! We did not see any mention of this requirement when booking the apartment. Maybe a darker carpet would be better or more rugs. Also, this questionnaire should have been sent to the person that did the initial booking! On the plus side the kitchen was well equipped and a welcome pack is always nice but it would have been better to have contained some bread. Unfortunately also left in the apartment was 2 large laundry bags in the middle of the kitchen floor. Not in our way and couldn’t be bothered to find number to get in touch. On the other hand. a welcome text from the owner or company could have provided an opportunity to reply to this oversight.
