    “A beautiful location and modern well maintained house.”

    Everything even better than the pictures and information. The owners could not be more helpful and friendly. A day could be spent just enjoying the grounds and walks around the house. Our stay was for 6 people and there was plenty of room for all of us and for us to have our own space if needed. Then of course there is Devon.Honiton is a short ride away from so many beaches, Exeter and more sites to visit than you can shake a stick at.

Swallows Dip is a beautifully built, eco-friendly house boasting unique fittings and a stylish interior all within a rural setting surrounded by rolling hills and the English countryside. This fantastic property overlooks a stunning man-made, fish-filled pond which is fully fenced and set within five acres of picturesque grounds and a lovely Devon meadow. A unique retreat for large groups or families looking to celebrate and relax in a luxury home. Boasting eco-credentials - powered with renewable electricity and with a ground source heat pump proving underfloor heating and hot water, the property is ideal whatever the weather, while being mindful of its carbon footprint. Entering Swallows Dip you are greeted with a galleried landing, with the area emblazoned with natural light and featuring a spacious super-king-size bedroom, and across the hall a separate family shower room. Making your way down to the lower ground floor the avant-garde living area boasts a chic kitchen with dazzling quartz worktops and built-in appliances, a family dining area, and a generous lounge that opens out onto a private, secure patio overlooking the spectacular man-made pond. Also found on the lower-ground floor is another spacious super-king-size bedroom which is a handy addition to have. The next flight of beautiful wooden stairs leads to the upper floor, featuring both master and second bedrooms which offer some of the best views in the area. The master super-king-size bedroom has a built-in mirrored wardrobe, a beautiful and elegant en-suite, and a corner balcony where it is a must to sit back and admire the wonderful vista. The second super-king-size bedroom also benefits from a lovely en-suite and a balcony which gives an elevated view over the Blackdown Hills and down onto the pond allowing you to ponder and marvel at the cruising fish therein. From the lounge area, walk out onto the private, enclosed patio and enjoy sitting back for a quiet moment whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the rolling hillsides. Ottery St Mary 5.6 miles; Lyme Regis 14.2 miles; Exeter 16.7 miles.

Honiton is a delightful market town in East Devon, with plenty to offer visitors. It lies in the valley of the River Otter and is surrounded by rolling Devon hills, green wooded valleys and plenty of scattered farming villages. Honiton has an attractive High Street stretching almost 2 miles, and lined with individually owned shops, pubs and restaurants. Honiton has been famous for lacemaking since the reign of Elizabeth I and still has a few lacemakers in work today - visitors can see some fine examples of antique lace in the town’s Allhallows Museum. Honiton boasts the only public art gallery in East Devon; the Thelma Hulbert Gallery occupies an attractive Grade I listed Victorian house, and has links with the Hayward Gallery, London. Honiton is only a short drive from the dramatic 20 mile stretch of Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site. Resorts such as Seaton, Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth are found along this stretch of coastline, and all have much to occupy the visitor. Near to Honiton is the cathedral city of Exeter with plenty of large shops, a wealth of museums, a theatre and fabulous restaurants.
