It is beautifully situated on the owners' land overlooking a large pond stocked with koi carp. The house is modern and beautiful with oak featuring strongly throughout. The decor and furnishings are very tasteful. All 4 bedrooms are superking size and very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. At the entrance floor level is one bedroom with a lovely shower room on the same level. It is beautifully situated on the owners' land overlooking a large pond stocked with koi carp. The house is modern and beautiful with oak featuring strongly throughout. The decor and furnishings are very tasteful. All 4 bedrooms are superking size and very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. At the entrance floor level is one bedroom with a lovely shower room on the same level. Going up half a flight of stairs is the master suite with beautiful shower room and a balcony overlooking the grounds, as well as another bedroom with a beautiful bathroom. There is another balcony overlooking the pond and countryside. There's halaf a flight of stairs from the front door going down into an open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area. There is a large patio door opening onto a large patio overlooking the pond etc. The 4th bedroom opens off the dining area. The kitchen was well equipped with every bit of equipment needed, as well as a dishwasher. Everywhere was spotless and in excellent condition. One lovely feature was the movement sensitive lights, and the floor level lights on the stairs and in the bath/shower rooms. I loved the little lights surrounding the huge mirror over the bath. The grounds were beautiful, with an additional natural lake, and we were free to explore. We saw and heard plenty of birds including a heron, buzzards and we also saw a deer. I cannot speak too highly of the property. I would just say, that if you have poor mobility, the beautiful oak staircases had slightly higher steps than is usual, I think, and could be a slight issue, although there were bannisters to hold onto. We had a wonderful time, and I would gladly stay there again. It's a beautiful, peaceful private haven. The town of Honiton is just a few minutes drive away with plenty of interesting shops, a Spar, a lovely gluten free bake shop and places to eat, as well as a Tesco and a BP M&S food shop at the far end of the High Street. Very highly recommended with a lovely owner on hand for advice. (I hope this review isn't too long.)
