The property

Bordeaux is a welcoming and stylish holiday retreat tucked within the much-loved Ladram Bay Holiday Park. With peaceful sea views, comfortable interiors and a relaxed coastal feel throughout, it’s an ideal choice for couples or families looking to unwind by the Jurassic Coast. Sleeping up to four guests, it offers a great base for discovering everything this beautiful stretch of coastline has to offer. The open-plan living space is light and airy, designed for easy holiday living. Two inviting sofas sit opposite the flat-screen Freeview TV, creating a cosy spot for quiet evenings in. French doors lead straight onto the veranda, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the bay and let the sea breeze drift in. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a full-size fridge/freezer, gas oven, grill, microwave and air-fryer, while the dining table comfortably seats four for relaxed meals together. The main bedroom is thoughtfully laid out, featuring a double bed, bedside storage, a fitted wardrobe, vanity area and the convenience of an en-suite toilet. There’s also ample space for a travel cot if you’re bringing little ones. The twin bedroom offers two single beds and storage for belongings, and a modern family bathroom with a shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin completes the accommodation. Step outside and you’ll find plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. The veranda is perfect for morning coffees or unwinding with a glass of something chilled, while the additional patio area provides a second option for outdoor dining or simply soaking up the sunshine. Your private parking space is right beside. Just a short stroll away, Ladram Bay’s fantastic facilities await. The park’s private beach is a real gem, ideal for rockpooling, swimming, kayaking or spending long, lazy days by the water. Younger guests will love the indoor pool and splash zone, soft play, playgrounds and adventure golf, while a full programme of entertainment makes sure there’s always something to enjoy. Food lovers are well catered for too. Pebbles Restaurant serves delicious meals alongside panoramic sea views, and the Beach Shack offers relaxed drinks, snacks and watersports hire. This part of the UNESCO Jurassic Coast is incredibly scenic, with miles of footpaths leading to dramatic viewpoints, coastal villages and sheltered coves, perfect for walkers and nature lovers alike. If you’re planning a day out, there’s plenty to explore nearby: The elegant Regency town of Sidmouth offers beautiful gardens, independent shops and a charming esplanade. Otterton Mill is a lovely stop for local crafts, fresh bakes and riverside strolls. Bicton Gardens provides a peaceful escape with its historic glasshouses, landscaped grounds and family-friendly spaces. Set back from the coast among the rolling green countryside and wooded valleys of beautiful East Devon, this pretty village with its collection of traditionally thatched roofed cottages is straight from a picture postcard. Offering a quieter but no less beautiful holiday destination than the rest of the county it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind, and is just 3 miles from the Regency coastal resort towns of both Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth, and one mile from the SW Coastal Path as it meanders above the waves towards the World Heritage Site ‘Jurassic Coast’ beaches with their abundant fossils. Ladram Bay with its red-stone sea stacks is just one mile away. Inland, footpaths follow the banks of the River Otter where fox, badger and birdlife play while just down the road from the village is Bicton Park and Botanical Gardens, 60 acres of garden lovers’ paradise. For a really interesting hour or two, visit the last working flour mill on the river Otter - it’s in the village and the flour is superb. There’s much to do and see in this beautiful and unspoilt area but if you want to explore further afield, the open spaces and high tors of Dartmoor can be reached in under an hour while the Cathedral city of Exeter with its superb shopping centre, cinemas, clubs and restaurants is a mere 10 miles.
