Accessing the property by car is, as to be expected, via a series of narrow lanes, but we found these to be quiet most of the time, not having to reverse often, and there are regular passing places. The property itself is well equipped and nicely furnished. That said there is limited space for clothing in the bedrooms, so pack lightly unless you don’t mind living out of a suitcase. The upstairs bed has a soft mattress and the ground floor beds are firm (and a bit short for anyone around 6ft) ...

Our young son loved sleeping in the roof area, and we were grateful for the electric fan up there at bedtime.
The spacious garden area is lovely and thanks to the fine weather, we enjoyed sitting and playing out in it most days. Note that, as well the stream, there is a public footpath that passes through the garden and around the back of the property, so you will see people and dogs passing through at any time of day.
