    “We enjoyed our stay for at the Abode.”

    The welcome pack was generous and a lovely touch. The cottage had everything with extra fridge and freezer storage, washer and dryer. I agree 2 towels isn't quite enough so brought our own after reading the other reviews. The mattress is firm but we slept well and the tv was a nice touch. We were fine with the drive, however I do agree some may find it difficult with low suspension or longer vehicles. On a couple of occasions exiting the drive onto the main road the lip of the drive would ...

This did not spoil our time at the Abode as we found it comfy, cosy and close to many places, including beaches and supermarkets etc. We too put the bin out as instructed and it wasn't emptied, so we left it out, which was then collected the following day. All good. All in all we were extremely happy and comfortable with our stay.

A beautifully presented and stylish detached cottage in a delightful, wooded setting only a short drive to the Jurassic Coast and the charming seaside resorts of Lyme Regis and Charmouth. The delightful, private garden is terraced with seating areas amongst the planting and is a great spot for sitting with a glass of wine or enjoying some alfresco dining in the summer evenings. The area is a haven for walkers with an abundance of footpaths on the doorstep, including the renowned South West Coastal Footpath, making this an ideal retreat for those looking for a quiet hideaway from which to enjoy this stunning part of World Heritage Coastline. Food lovers will love the excellent range of eateries nearby including River Cottage located nearby on Trinity Hill, Hix’s Fish and Oyster restaurant in Lyme Regis and Miller’s Farm shop supplying a great selection of local produce. Forde Abbey with its historic house and gardens is a great day out or the fishing village of Beer will charm you with its quaint streets, art galleries and beach. The sought after setting of Raymonds Hill is located close to the Devon/Dorset border, near the East Devon market town of Axminster and approximately 3 miles from the picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis and the breath-taking Jurassic Coastline. Located near the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with the protected forests and heathlands including the Trinity Hill Nature Reserve to the west, the area is popular with walkers delighting in the ancient hillforts of Lamberts Castle and Coney’s Castle or Golden Cap on the coast.
