    “Delightful house, spacious, very quiet and in an ideal location.”

    The Byes are so close as is a nature reserve at the top of the cemetery. House requires some maintenance, and you will need: a towel for the kitchen, additional dishwasher tablets, (only 2 left) and tea towels. A tray would be helpful, otherwise all gadgets well provided and the house has a large, secure parking space.

The property

The stunning, four-bedroom, detached holiday home of Temple House can be found in the heart of Devon's popular seaside resort of Sidmouth. Set along the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Temple House is a great dog-friendly home for a group or family of eight with their canine companion. Drive up to the six-car driveway and relax on the south-facing patio with your morning coffee. Step inside your new home, to your left you'll find a spacious double-aspect kitchen/diner with granite countertops, a Smart fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher, perfect for whipping up elaborate meals for eight people to enjoy at the dining table with a bottle of champagne. How about enjoying your meal in the backyard garden on those nicer days? There is also a Smart TV mounted on the wall so you can watch your shows whenever you like, and the room can be dimmed to set the mood. Walk through to the living room, where you can kick back on the comfortable couches and watch a movie with your family while snacking on popcorn. To round out this floor, there is a washer and dryer in the utility room, as well as a convenient cloakroom. After ascending the stairs illuminated by LED strips installed in the skirting boards, you'll find three luxuriously appointed bedrooms: a super-king-size, a double with an en-suite shower room, and a twin, each with its own TV and a sleek shower room perfect for washing off the day's adventures. The last bedroom is on the second floor, and it's a super-king-size with an attached bathroom (both of which have zone lighting). Gather your bathing suits, swim trunks, and towels and make a beeline for Sidmouth Beach, where you can relax in the sun, read a book, or try your hand at water sports. The Courtyard and The Anchor Inn serve up hearty pub classics, while Neil's Restaurant serves up fresh seafood and the White Horse Café serves up light bites; all are welcome in this friendly town. The Byes, a beautiful park with a stream winding through it, is located within walking distance of Temple House and provides the perfect setting for a relaxing stroll. The Sidmouth Museum is a great place to learn about the town's history, while a stroll through the Blackmore Gardens or a round of golf at the Sidmouth Golf Club are both enjoyable diversions. Hikers will enjoy the beautiful Sidmouth Countryside, which is part of the National Trust and where the fascinating Norman Locker Observatory with a planetarium can be found. You can spend the day at the beach or on a scenic walk along the Haven Cliffs, or you can continue on to Seaton. Here you can visit the 2,000-year-old vaulted Beer Quarry Caves, Pecorama, with its award-winning miniature railway and gardens, or the Seaton Tramway for a scenic 3-mile ride. Exeter Cathedral, the Underground Passages, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, and the Barley Valley Nature Reserve can all be found nearby. Temple House, located in Sidmouth is a wonderful base for exploring the wonders of Devon.

Sidmouth is an elegant seaside resort on the south Devon stretch of Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site of great natural beauty. Here is where the River Sid cuts through the Devon hills to meet the sea at Lyme Bay, creating a clean pebbly beach, giving way to golden sands at low tide backed by dramatic red cliffs creating a safe family beach with rockpools and safe bathing. Sidmouth is lined with stylish Regency cream-and-white architecture, creating an elegant Esplanade which makes for a relaxing stroll whilst looking out towards Beer Head. Sidmouth boasts one of the few public access observatories, the Norman Lockyer Observatory, complete with planetarium.
