“Beautiful house ideally situated, 15 minute walk to the town and beach.”
There were a few things lacking that would turn this into a five star stay. No parasol outside which is needed. No welcome pack which on enquiring with Sykes had been forgotten about. This contained the wi-fi password which they did send me in a message. Not enough towels for a house sleeping 8. Only 2 tea towels, no place mats or coasters. No full length mirror by a plug to do hair. Top floor bedroom very hot, need fans, the en suite bathroom has no storage/shelves for toiletries ect. Living room needs a coffee table as no where to put a drink. I would expect basic supplies of cleaning items along with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread etc. Regarding cleanliness it wasn't high standard which I expected considering the cost to stay here. The beds were really comfortable with quality bedding and pillows. I would definitely stay again and would recommend. If the above issues are addressed it would be perfect.
Thank you for providing your feedback following your stay at Temple House. We have spoken with the owner who is grateful for your comments, as you were the first guests to stay at the property these points raised are really useful. Placemats and coasters will be provided, as will 2 full length mirrors. A fan has already been purchased and placed in the top bedroom. Shelves are planned to be added to the bathroom as is a coffee table for the lounge. Basic supplies such as tea, coffee etc will be replaced for the complimentary prosecco that is normally left for guests. A welcome folder is now provided and the housekeeping issues have been flagged with the cleaners. We really hope to welcome you back to Temple House in the future as it is such a beautiful place to stay.
