    “We would highly recommend No 6.”

    It's spotless, with everything you need and a very generous Welcome Pack. The garden is perfect to sit in and so quiet, with a friendly robin. It's a short walk to the centre with lots of independent shops, cafes and people are so friendly. We took our dog and there are walks from the door. The owners have worked hard to make sure this cottage is perfect. Thank you

Bridport itself is a vibrant and creative market town, with plenty to see and do. Bucky Doo Square is a popular hub for cafés, small eateries and independent shops, while the Electric Palace cinema offers a characterful venue for films, theatre and live events. For walkers, the nearby Symondsbury Estate provides beautiful countryside trails, including the climb up Colmer’s Hill, one of Dorset’s most iconic viewpoints, with far‑reaching views over the surrounding landscape. The coast is equally close, with West Bay just a short drive away, offering a harbour, beach and access to the dramatic Jurassic Coast path. Slightly further afield, Lyme Regis makes an excellent day trip, well known for its fossil‑rich beaches, historic harbour and independent shops. The attractive market town of Bridport grew up around the River Brit, and was shaped by its extensive history of rope and net making. The long, wide streets and alleyways between the houses were once where the flax strands were twisted into rope, while today those streets are filled with an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns. Bridport’s market is regularly featured on the River Cottage TV programme. 2 miles south of Bridport is the dramatic Jurassic coast at West Bay, now a World Heritage Site, home to the backdrop for TV's Harbour Lights and the coastal setting for popular Broadchurch, whilst the picturesque resort of Lyme Regis is within 10 miles. A superb base for exploring wonderful West Dorset.
