Far exceeded expectations. Rentals can often be well worn, but this was like new. Beautiful house, nice lay out etc. Modern kitchen and bathrooms etc. Paintwork was spotless. Comfy beds. Nice decor. It had lots you wouldn’t expect, games in the lounge, lots of extras in the kitchens and bathrooms you normally expect to take yourself like soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, tea towels, dish cloth etc. Kitchen was very well equipped. Far exceeded expectations. Rentals can often be well worn, but this was like new. Beautiful house, nice lay out etc. Modern kitchen and bathrooms etc. Paintwork was spotless. Comfy beds. Nice decor. It had lots you wouldn’t expect, games in the lounge, lots of extras in the kitchens and bathrooms you normally expect to take yourself like soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, tea towels, dish cloth etc. Kitchen was very well equipped. Loved Lyme Regis, I’d never been before. Really unspoilt seaside town. Very picturesque. If I had to mention any negatives, at the property parking is a bit awkward and there is only one space. The lane that it is off is very narrow, but then they all are it seems. Lyme Regis itself is very hilly, so if you’re older, like my parents, or not that mobile, a more central location would be better for you, as it’s flatter nearer the sea. All said, I loved it and will more than likely go back again. It’s a real credit to its owners.

Just to reassure future guests regarding parking, the private parking space is suitable for larger vehicles, including big Range Rovers and family vans. For additional vehicles, there is also free roadside parking available on Haye Close just behind the property. In fact, The Old Boat House is one of the few cottages in Lyme Regis where you can park directly outside the front door, making arrival, unloading luggage and trips to the beach nice and easy.
