“The apartment itself was genuinely lovely, but unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by several practical issues.”
The arrival instructions to access the car park were incorrect. The arrival instructions to access the car park were incorrect. After driving 300 miles, discovering that the space was essentially unusable was incredibly frustrating, and we had to park elsewhere because it simply wasn’t accessible for any normal‑sized car.
Once inside the apartment, we then noticed that debris from the balcony above had fallen onto our balcony. There was also a drop of around 7–8 inches from the living room down to the balcony, something that had not been advertised. For anyone with mobility issues, this makes the balcony inaccessible — my husband was unable to use it at all.
We also discovered an unexpected issue with the television. I know you don’t go on holiday to watch TV, but with the World Cup starting we wanted to watch a match that was on ITV. Unfortunately, the living‑room TV didn’t have ITV available as a watchable channel, which is surprising for a mainstream station and disappointing given the timing.
It’s a real shame, because the apartment itself was lovely, but these issues significantly affected our stay.
