“A Brilliant place to stay and call home for a week.”

Everything we needed was there. Lovely enclosed garden, which was brilliant for the dogs could leave the back door open and feel safe that they were safe. Also, the house is only a short walk to the seafront and town centre.

“Comfortable house, good parking, the description doesn’t mention there is a BBQ, also an additional toilet.”

It’s very near the beach, shops etc: only negative is the small fridge, no freezer, inadequate for 5 people? Would book again.

“We stayed at Lym close 10th 17th May.”

We found it to be lovely and clean and extremely quiet set in a lovely small cul de sac about 5 mins walk to beach. The only thing was the downstairs toilet did not flush correctly but this didn't spoil our lovely holiday. The carpets throughout and suite in living room was spot on and it was all very comfortable. The location of this property is marvelous and was close to the town and beach and Lyme Regis is beautiful with lots of places to visit. Would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

“Lovely place, perfect location for town and beach.”

Parking an added extra. Bathroom a little cold, even with heating on. The only real thing that needs sorting is the shower head - too small and not really powerful enough - done it's job but with a cold bathroom you needed to be quick. Although we didn't use them, lots of games was a nice touch. Welcome pack was brilliant - especially having milk in the fridge. Thank you

“Need to check front door lock as the non yale one doesn’t work.”

The heating instructions need to be fuller and include operation of the HIVE thermostat in the front room. This is particularly applicable to the winter months rental..

“Stayed here number of years ago a few times so booked it again.”

It’s been done up so really nice. Comfortable cosy accommodation, parking and WiFi as well. Lovely welcome pack with milk so could make a cuppa immediately: nice touch. Only issue is front porch light not working & shower little feeble but it does the job. All in all great place: so close to everything. Definitely staying here again. Very happy.

“My second stay at Lyme close and again I was really happy with the accommodation.”

Off road parking is a real bonus and as before it was clean and tidy when I got there.also,a nice welcome pack was in the kitchen and milk in the fridge. It takes about five minutes to walk to the sea front and about the same to the town centre so the location is perfect. I’m looking forward to going there again soon.

“A nice house in the perfect location, the parking was spot on.”

It was very clean and had a nice welcome pack. You could pick faults if you’re really picky, but overall it’s a nice place to stay. There’s work going on next door but the guy was friendly and kept noise down when I was in. I would definitely stay there again.

“Save all year to get away with the dogs.”

I booked this property as mentioned that it was in a quite location . When we arrived next door was having building work done constant hammering and sanding. Couldn't sit out the back as the builders where swearing lots. This went on all week so all in all I was relieved to go home. Sykes got us a refund of £490 back from the £1500 paid but I still feel that the £1000 paid was wasted did not enjoy the holiday at all.

“We loved 23 Lym Close, it was very well equipped ideal for dogs too, with the outside being very dog friendly too.”

I went with 2 friends and their dogs, Nasa and Holly. We visited the Donkey Sanctuary and a very nice small garden centre. We walked to the seafront every day. We all had ice creams including dogs sharing one. Most of the shops are dog friendlyI am hoping to go back soon if not it will be next year. Thank you, I did leave a card for the owners I hope it gets passed on.

Home gave us all we needed and expected. Kitchen was narrow but functional. Took time to find bags to put laundry in as sign stated strip beds but never said where bags were to put in

“Great property in a very good location.”

Main wall cupboard in the kitchen which had the crockery in smelt very strange and all the crockery needed washing prior to use. On a positive note there was a very good range of pots and pans to use. Garden could also do with a bit of a tidy up (hedge cut back) plus the moss on the floor by the front parking and in the rear garden needs cleaning away of treating as you tend to walk this into the house especially when it has been raining.

“We had a fantastic time in Lyme Regis.”

The property was great, really clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed, and it was nice and spacious for a family of four and one dog. Location was brilliant and parking all good (we have a Nissan Qashqi and had no issues getting onto the drive). The garden/patio area was enclosed and secure for our medium sized dog (which had been my main worry when looking for holiday properties). Overall we were really pleased with Lym Close, would definitely book again and would definitely recommend.

“Lovely house for a week away.”

Parking for 2 cars was a bonus (and we booked another drive a couple of doors away for the 3rd car). Kitchen very well equipped. Would also mention as previous reviews about the garlic/onion smell on the sofas - you do get used to it! Very strange. We hadn’t been left covers or towels for 6th guest but Lyme Bay sorted that straight away. The sofa bed in the dining room is very uncomfortable and would suggest needs replacing. Overall would recommend this house and would happily stay again

“A very comfortable holiday home easy walking distance to the beach, a bit of a hill on the way back but not difficult.”

There was a slight smell as you walked down the stairs but opened all the windows to let the air in and no problem. We had a leak in the bathroom but this was rectified within a couple of hours.

What a lovely little home spotlessly clean and very well equipped everything was provided bedding towels even tea towels hand soap washing up liquid toilet rolls all rooms bright and airy beds spotless and comfortable small single bedroom would benefit if single bed was changed to bunk beds perfect location 5 mins from the sea front and town in a very quiet side street highly recommend would definitely stay there again lovely little place

Strange smell on entering the house but once in u get used to it, also small bedroom has a damp smell but as we wasn’t using it there wasn’t an issue. Bathroom could do with an update but all in a great stay and would defo visit again. Ideal location

“Good house, with improvements since we stayed 2 years ago: new carpets, seating and cooker.”

Good parking for 2 cars, close to beach, town and local playground all positives for families. Bunk beds in the small room would encourage us to return as 3 generation family. Couple of issues: damp smell in kitchen units. Maybe leaving cupboard doors open when no one using the house would help. Also the fire exit door into neighbours garden. We could not open the door with the key hung near it. Needs looking at.

“Excellent location, 5 minutes from the seafront and town centre.”

There is a large car park space at the front of the house and room on the road for another car. The smell of garlic has been mentioned in previous reviews and is sometimes still overpowering in the lounge. I think the smell is coming from the sofa but not sure. The property is very comfortable and clean.

“Hi. We had a lovely time staying here.”

The house is in a perfect location. We knew we had not booked the highest rated house so knew it wouldn’t have certain things. It was clean in the bedrooms etc A few items for feedback:- The sofas have this very strange smell- almost like garlic?!! I don’t know if they’ve been sprayed with something to protect them? So when you walk into the lounge it’s quite strong smell. (It took me a few days to understand where it coming from!) The bathroom needs a deep clean on the floor. The kitchen cupboards have a smell too, maybe if they’re not used a lot? The courtyard needs a good sweep and would be such a perfect space if it had a real patio. A larger smart tv on a swivel would also be good. This house has so much potential to be something super special with some upgrades. All in all we love Lyme and this was just a wonderful holiday.
