“The property is in a good location, though a steep walk from the bottom of the hill or beach The iiving room felt very dark and the furniture very dated ie sofa really needs replacing.”

It would benefit enormously from some small improvements as beautiful windows and high ceiling. The oven in the kitchen has no temperature settings which makes it difficult to cook. No oven gloves provided. The bed was very comfortable and overall the property was clean .

“Accurate listing.”

A little scruffy and smells of smoke but no evidence of smoking. But it was cheap, available and takes dogs. Well cleaned. Bed and bedding comfy. Noise from road minimal. Very bright street lamp outside not blocked by ill fitting curtains. But sound of owl enjoyable. Mirror in kitchen fell down in night which was a fright. Could do with blind working in bathroom. Good hot water. Welcome pack. Free parking outside ends at 9am if left car overnight (7-6, two hours max). Car park at top is now £16 a day.

Thanks for your feedback. Just a quick update. We have had the carpets professionally cleaned to make it feel nice and fresh. We have upgraded to double bed to a kingsize bed (with topper for extra comfort) We have noted your comments and sorry about the mirror (now replaced) Parking is quite expensive in Dorset and the car park at the top of the hill (Holmbush) is the most convenient if you are just leaving it for the day. “The accommodation is lovely and quirky, slight issue with the toilet seat but I am sure that will be resolved soon.”

There was however an issue with the after assistance in that we have left something in the property but all we got were automated responses, this could be better.

“The property was immaculate.”

Loved the period details. Lovely touch of a welcome pack. Comfortable. Really convenient for access to the beautiful gardens down to The Cobb and the town and beach. It was a little difficult working out the electric hob and oven settings as they have rubbed off but other than that it was a great experience. Parking is a bit of a pain and expensive but we managed to mainly park opposite for free over night and in the nearby car parks in the day. However, it is worth it as Lyme Regis is beautiful and the people are lovely. The price for the appartment was really reasonable for the stay and we would come back again.
