    “Loved the cottage.”

    Perfectly situated for the town. The property was clean and was just right for 2 couples. The welcome pack was unexpected but a lovely touch. We stayed in February and therefore probably spent more time inside than most; however managed coastal walks most days. Would recommend UpLyme walk, route to Charmouth, Colmar Hill and the Holloways and Golden Cap. Thanks for a super week’s break. (Please be aware hot tap in kitchen is broken: can be used but fiddly, radiator cover in lounge damaged ...

The property

Sherborne Lane is a secluded pedestrian lane in the heart of Lyme Regis within easy reach of the town centre and the nearby River Lym walk. With its origins stretching back to Saxon times, Sherborne Lane is a mix of quaint and colourful period cottages of individual character and style. The independent shops, restaurants and beaches are all within a short walk away, making this an ideal location from which to explore this historic and picturesque seaside town. Waverley is a delightful cottage, mixing both contemporary and character features. The open-plan living area with woodburning stove is inviting and leads out onto a raised decked veranda with some lovely views out over the rooftops of Lyme Regis. Steps down from the veranda take you to an enclosed courtyard seating area, perfect for a spot of alfresco dining. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, a double and a twin room, with a family bathroom on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor. Please note: One small/medium sized dog accepted GROUND FLOOR Entrance porch for coats, shoes and boots Open plan living room with kitchen, dining and sitting area, woodburning stove and door to veranda Shower room: shower cubicle, basin and w.c FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1: Double bed Bedroom 2: Twin beds Bathroom: Bath with shower attachment, basin and w.c. LYME REGIS

Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!

Please note that the property is located on a quiet pedestrian only lane so while cars can not pull up outside, there is a trolley in the property to make moving your bags from the car to the front door much easier. Do take care as the lane is on a hill.
As with many characterful properties, there are slopped ceilings in the bedroom with restricted head room in some parts.
We have been contacted by the local council concerning essential works taking place within the car park from the 3rd Feb for approximately 3-4 weeks weather dependent.
There will be a dedicated area for cars that have a parking permit to display, however please note that EV charging will not be available during this time but Charmouth Road Car Park and Holmbush Car Park chargers will be fully operational.
