“We had a wonderful week at Seaside.”

The location was stunning and everything we needed was available. It was a little cluttered with DVDs, candles, curlers, ornaments, weird and unnecessary kitchen equipment, lots of logs etc…. This made it difficult to unpack and to clean effectively. Note there is no bath (as the property is listed as having one). This didn’t bother us but may if you have younger children. Having a private car parking space is amazing in high season!

“It's so nice, we came again this year!”

The location is perfect (as long as you don't mind a little road noise), and the parking space is definitely a bonus. The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of drawer and cupboard space for your clothes, loved the new shower but couldn't figure out how to turn on the towel radiator! Really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return again next year as we find it to be a very comfortable and relaxing apartment.

“Seaside was lovely and in a perfect location.”

Everything you needed seemed to be supplied. Although we are out a lot. Very comfy bed. Loved the little patio area overlooking the harbour. There is only one recommendation I would make is that although Seaside was absolutely spotless it’s a shame the patio chairs hadn’t been cleaned.

“A beautiful little place to stay.”

So close to the Cobb and the sea. The location is perfect and the fact it had parking made a huge difference. We were a family of 4 and felt like it was a perfect holiday house. We spent all day, every day out exploring so the evenings in this cosy place was perfect once the kids were fast asleep! Our only points to highlight would be that there is a lot of road noise which cannot be helped due to its central location but worth considering if you have light sleepers in the family (luckily we do not!) and the cleanliness of the property was average. We appreciate that this is down to the agency, not the owners. The house had everything we needed! Overall we had a great few days in this beautiful property and hope to come back soon.

“Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful apartment.”

We absolutely loved the cosy seaside decor and given that space is a premium that close to the sea, the layout exceeded our expectations. An absolute bonus that the carpark space is less than 30secs walk away which made the whole arrival and departure experience very easy. We stayed very comfortably as a family of 3, our daughter is only 20 months old so we had a lot of extras with us - and she loved the "holiday house" too. Plenty of space in the bedrooms for your suitcases and luggage - and hooks for coats etc. We would love to come back and visit again very soon!

“The cottage was perfect for us as a couple but I can imagine it may have felt a little small if we had had children with us.”

Location is fantastic, being down by the harbour and Cobb means there is a bit of traffic noise which is to be expected but we didn't find it a problem. Having parking was definitely a bonus, and the welcome pack was great and much appreciated There was plenty of books to read and some board games provided which would have been really useful if you were staying indoors. The only improvements would be a fan (we had to bring one with us), and an extra shelf in the bathroom to keep all the toiletries on. The cottage was lovely and we would be more than happy to stay again.

“My wife and I stayed at the Lyme Bay holidays apartment for seven days over Christmas week.”

The apartment it was much smaller than it appeared in photos. We thought the rooms were over decorated with various knickknacks and ornaments. The kitchen was tiny. Many surfaces still had dust on them. A family with kids moved into the upstairs apartment. We constantly heard them moving around. The sound installation in the apartments could be improved. I repeatedly attempted to contact Lyme Bay holidays via phone and WhatsApp to resolve these issues. They did not reply to my various messages. Can you refund 50% of the cost?

We're sorry to here about your disappointment and cannot explain why Lyme Bay Holidays did not answer your calls or messages. However as the owner we state that the property is small there is sound deading in the ceiling however we cannot be responsible for noise from above we have asked in tha past that clients above respect our property below and signage has been a fixed in the past yes the kitchen is small but we feel the pictures portray this on Lyme Bays website. With regard to knick knacks these are our personal taste to make it feel homely as we love it and it's like a second home to us again the pictures pourty this . With regards to the property being dusty this is down to Lyme Bay Holidays as we pay for this thru there letting and management fee's as we live to far away to keep on top of this. If you could have reported this at the time then I'm sure along with other matters Lyme Bay Holidays would have looked into all matters. I can not explain why you could not get hold of anyone and personal feel Lyme Bay Holidays need to answer your quierys . As we love our little place on the Cobb and have had many happy memories there . As for a refund I'm sorry but as I feel the matters were out of our control as a property owner and the pictures and room sizes are on the website that it's not our responsibility for any form of refund . We are upset as a family at your comments and sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Seaside. Property Owner

“The property is located right next to the Cobb.”

Everything is within easy walking distance. We stayed for 5 nights and didn’t get in the care once. A great place to stay.

“Location of this property is fantastic and it is a comfortable place.”

My only criticism is that it smells very damp and musty. I have washed all our clothes since returning home but unfortunately the musty smell still remains in everything that we took with us.

“Seaside is a lovely accommodation and well thought out, it would have been helpful if there was an information book to tell us things about the accommodation (we eventually found the washing machine).”

Unfortunately the cleanliness wasn’t at its best as when booking it said no pets but we found dog hair on the bedding and on the kitchen work too after a good vacuuming it was all sorted, fortunately none of my family has pet allergies. Apart from that we had a lovely relaxed stay and would rebook in the future
