    “We had a lovely 3-day break in No.”

    4. The cottage is ideally placed for a quiet break close to all the Lyme facilities. Although rather dated, it was clean and had all the facilities we needed, and the access to the garden was useful for our little dog. It is a lovely walk down by the river into Lyme and we especially enjoyed discovering the Old Town Mill and its microbrewery and eateries. Would definitely book again.

4 Lymbrook Cottage is a charming two bedroom cottage situated in Jericho, alongside the River Lym in the picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis. One of four former mill workers' cottages dating back to the 19th century, the property provides a cosy and comfortable retreat for couples or small families looking for a seaside holiday in this part of Dorset. Step inside to find a welcoming sitting room with comfortable sofas, a smart TV, quaint window seat and a brick-built fireplace creating a focal point for the room. At the rear of the cottage, the kitchen is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering holiday whether preparing a cosy evening meal or a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. To the front of the cottage is the south-facing enclosed garden, which is shared with the four cottages and is a delightful spot to sit and relax and listen to the sounds of the river. Due to the proximity of the River Lym care will need to be taken with small children. A small private seating area off the kitchen at the rear, captures the late afternoon and evening sunshine. Heading upstairs, you will find the two bedrooms, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with handy wash basin. The shower room with corner walk-in shower, is also located on this floor. A picturesque ten-minute riverside walk through the Old Town to the town centre and seafront, makes Jericho one of the most sought after locations in Lyme Regis. Popular with bathers and water enthusiasts alike, the sandy beach is perfect for those looking to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday. For those wanting to get out on the water, boat trips run regularly from the Cobb harbour and offer great views of the Jurassic Coast from the sea. Food lovers will relish the excellent choice of restaurants, many specialising in local food and beverages or for a true seaside experience, there is nothing better than eating freshly cooked fish and chips on the seafront. Try your hand at fossil hunting on one of the many fossil rich beaches, or head to Charmouth where you can learn about the area’s rich fossil history at the Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront. For those travelling with young families, the nearby Axe Valley Wildlife Park is home to a variety of animals from around the world or the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth, home to hundreds of donkeys and open all year round.
