“The garden area was unkempt and overgrown, although the Dogs loved it!”

There was a need for some extra maintenance throughout. The wi-first is extremely patchy, including days without! On a plus note, the bedroom is comfortably large, with ample storage space. Everything is provided, and all on one level. The welcome pack is a lovely touch, and parking right outside. Despite the negatives, we had an enjoyable, comfy stay.

“On the plus side, this flat is in a good location - easy reach of shops and centre.”

There is good parking right outside and a very useful garden for our dog. It also provided pretty much everything you would need for a short stay, and there was lots of hot water and a comfortable bed. The reason we couldn’t give it 5 stars is because the decor is very dated and the bedroom very dark. We were also unable to access any TV apps because the Wi-Fi is very very slow. Two sets of keys were provided but we could only use one - the second set didn’t appear to work. But thanks for a comfortable stay and for the welcome goody bag.

“Firstly the good points.”

..flat 1 is perfectly situated, in a lovely old building, parking and garden a real bonus, bed is super comfy, plenty of cooking utensils and welcome pack a lovely touch. Not so good points...flat 1 decor is tired and a bit shabby, in need of a refresh, especially the kitchen & bathroom, cracked & tiles, dirty grout, blind in bedroom doesn't reach the bottom of the window so let's light in & curtains are difficult to close (the rings get stuck on the pole), white paint spots on lino floor in the kitchen, shower curtain brown at the bottom, bathroom wash basin cracked, toilet seat stained & markings rubbed off cooker knobs making it difficult when cooking. The cleaning company used are doing the bare minimum...2 big cobwebs in corners of living room ceiling either side of the fire, mirrors dirty, dead flies on toilet window ledge (been there a while, not recent), we had to wash all food related utensils before use as all dirty, bottom bowl in kitchen sink was filthy with food stuck to it, I tried scrubbing it but its still very stained. Did it spoil our holiday? Absolutely not. Would we stay there again? Unfortunately no.

“I damaged my car parking which started the holiday off badly .”

The accommodation was reasonably clean but dated .The bed was super comfy but the kitchen and bathroom could do with updating, The garden was great for the dogs but could do with a tidy especially the patio area . The garden furniture is covered with cobwebs. The location is great and on the whole my stay was good. Would book again

“A gem of a property.”

Perfect location with parking right outside. An exclusive walled garden for the dogs is a rare find in a town house. Close to the park, shops, pubs etc. Comfortable bed and good sized rooms throughout. Our only niggle is the poor internet, which was completed drained of any bandwidth by other flats in the building. We would definitely stay here again.

“We were expecting WiFi but had little most days.”

I lost a day's earnings as I was unable to fulfill a work commitment due to this. TV relied on WiFi and we were unable to connect. No tin opener but a fabulous array of other utensils. Garden was a perfect haven. Seat cushions would have been welcome. Blind and curtains in bedroom were not sufficient to cut out intense street lights. Off road parking was perfect. Disappointed that rubbish could not be recycled. No manuals for operation of appliances was frustrating.

“Lovely flat right by the park, town and sea.”

Good facilities, bed was comfortable Enclosed garden was useful for the dogs to explore. The only things that let it down was the cobwebs particularly in the kitchen with the dead crane fly! Also there are 6 corkscrews and no can opener

- Kim, October 2025

Thanks for your kind feedback. We have added a can opener! We have also removed the unwelcome arthropods! Regards Property Owner

“Accommodation good but not very easy to park.”

I feel that anyone with a medium to large car would struggle. Fortunately for us, we have a small car. However, on one occasion we couldn't park as another car had used our space. All said, it's a beautiful part of the country and we had a good holiday.

- Jackie, September 2025

Thanks for your kind feedback. Yes the manoeuvre is a little awkward. i comfortably park my LandRover Discovery there but then I am well practised. It is best to reverse in from above. i.e. reversing down the hill. The signage does say parking for Flat 1 only so I am not sure what happened with the other car. Regards Property Owner

“We had a wonderful time at Flat 1 Agnes House, Lyme Regis in June so much so that we returned in August.”

There was a great enclosed garden for Tom our dog which he loved. Lovely walk down to the beach with really nice places to eat. Our welcome pack was very nice and much appreciated.

“Flat is in a fabulous location, private parking space & garden is definitely a bonus.”

A comfortable stay, flat was generally well maintained, well equipped & clean. The entrance hall & garden could do with a bit of a tidy up but overall a great place to stay, loved Lyme Regis and would definitely return to St Agnus House.

“A wonderfully positioned and comfy garden flat.”

Perfect for us, our dogs and kids. And an off road parking space - a definite bonus in Lyme. We’ve stayed twice before and have already booked for next year. Can’t wait!
