3 STAR – (65 – 74 %) Good level of quality & comfort.

4 STAR – (75 – 89%) Excellent standard throughout.

5 STAR – (90 -100%) Exceptional with a degree of luxury.

SILVER AWARD – An accolade at 3 star for those properties achieving consistently high standards throughout but unable to attain 4 stars due to restricted space in one or more areas.

GOLD AWARD – Awarded to properties reflecting a high level of quality within their overall grading, putting them at the higher end of their current grading. These properties reflect a higher level of quality and comfort throughout.

GOLD 5 STAR AWARD – The highest possible accolade, awarded to those properties which provide an exceptional standard throughout with a high degree of luxury.

You may also find it useful to view internal photographs of a property on our website prior to booking. With all grades, but particularly with 3 star, style and quality can vary considerably. The percentages shown indicate the average grading for all areas within the assessment.

As always we have a team of staff on hand who are happy to assist and provide an honest opinion if required. All properties are inspected annually at varying times of the year. Any new grading and percentages will be updated on the website. Those shown in the brochure were accurate at the time of publication.

QUALITY ASSURANCE RATINGS: The quality assurance ratings are summarised above. All our properties are quality assessed under the ratings scheme and the grading for each property is shown in the property details within the brochure and on the website property pages (see examples above). Please note some properties may be awaiting inspection, but will be updated as soon as the inspection takes place.

We only offer properties that have achieved (or will achieve) a minimum of 3 stars (65%) under the scheme. Please use the star grading and overall percentage awarded to help you choose the right property for your stay.

PROPERTY STAR AWARDS: The percentages shown and number of stars awarded to a property reflect the OVERALL award by our inspector, whereas in the full and detailed report, provided to property owners, percentages are awarded for each ‘critical area’: public areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens. The number of stars awarded cannot exceed the lowest rating given in any critical area, which ensures consistency in all aspects of a property. It also means that, in some instances, the overall percentage may slightly exceed the number of stars awarded.
