“7 of us (adults) stayed for 2 nights at Pippin - a lovely welcome bag full of tasty treats and milk in the fridge waiting for us.”

The property is beautiful, particularly the living area with its high vaulting ceiling and plenty of space to spread out. It’s furnished and decorated to a high spec and has a very well equipped kitchen. It’s in a great location, near to pubs, eateries and the beach. Lots of great walks from the house. The property is beautiful, particularly the living area with its high vaulting ceiling and plenty of space to spread out. It’s furnished and decorated to a high spec and has a very well equipped kitchen. It’s in a great location, near to pubs, eateries and the beach. Lots of great walks from the house. Negatives were mainly due to lack of maintenance and care for the house. The main issue was the dishwasher- it doesn’t rinse properly and dries food debris on to everything. This meant everything was dirty and anything we used had to be washed first. We didn’t bother using it after the first load came out. Fridge door shelf broken, had to remove the plug unit in the main bathroom to use the shower or you stood ankle deep in water very quickly. Broken hook on back of bathroom door, broken coat stand at the front door. The house looks like it needs a proper clean overall. We saw the cleaner as we were leaving - they told us they have reported all of this before. Certainly some of the reviews stayed the same issues. I gave up when I tried to report the dishwasher using the number through the Sykes app on the Saturday morning - I went from 7th to 4th and up to 8th in the queue over about 20 minutes! Decided to get on with enjoying the weekend instead. So would I go back? Only if it was repaired and maintained as needed - we spent over £700 for the weekend and feel the companies renting it out could do better. If I was the owner I would want to know about these issues.
