Pecorama

Situated in the small fishing village of Beer, Pecorama first opened to the public in 1975 and has been a favourite day out for locals and visitors alike ever since. Aside from the breath-taking views over Lyme Bay, Pecorama has nine acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with narrow gauge passenger-carrying railway running for over a mile around the grounds. There’s steam and diesel locomotives, an electric tram, a railway modelling exhibition and shop, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, plus various eateries on site.

Crealy Theme Park

An award winning theme park, Crealy boasts over 60 rides and attractions for a fun filled day out.  Voted as the best day out in Devon for eight years running the park also offers live entertainment and shows and animals galore. On the outskirts of the beautiful city of Exeter its within easy reach of Lyme Bay.

The Jurassic Centre

Seaton Jurassic Centre engages thousands of people with East Devon’s unique geological, coastal and marine heritage. They are the first Devon Wildlife Trust flagship visitor centre and aim to transform mind-sets about the natural world, through the story of life. Popular throughout the year the centre also has an on-site cafe.

 

Seaton Tramway

Hop aboard Seaton’s unique heritage tramway and spot birdlife as you follow the Axe Estuary nature reserves all the way to the medieval market town of Colyton. Whilst there you can enjoy refreshments in one of Colyton’s many local pubs and cafes before returning on the Tram at the days end.

Seaton Wetlands

If you love nature then why not enjoy a day out to explore Seaton’s wildlife by following nearly 4km of easy-going trails through the marshland and wetlands alongside River Axe. Go pond dipping,  stop for a picnic and get up close to local wildlife from wading birds wildfowl. There are guided walks and activities for families or you are free to roam at your pleasure.
