“This was a lovely little apartment that has been decorated to a great standard and has everything you would need for a break away.”
Positives:
Great heating, even on the coldest of days. It was almost too good, as the apartment continued to warm to 3–4 degrees above the set temperature after it switched off, and we often opened windows to cool down.
The apartment is beautiful and in a great location, with the bonus of a car parking space.
Everything you could possibly need could be found in the cupboards and wardrobe.
It felt like a home from home, especially with the welcome pack.

Negatives (and I hate to point these out as the apartment is so lovely):
As mentioned in many reviews, the sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable. We had to cover it with all the throw pillows to make it bearable to sit on.
Building works both front and back meant every window was overlooked by builders, with noise from 8am each day. There were no privacy screens as mentioned in the listing, so we kept the blinds shut.
The fridge door needs attention, as it is starting to come off its bottom hinge, and the wine cooler does not appear to work.
The property did not feel fully cleaned before arrival. I found chewed fingernails stuck to my socks on the first day, suggesting the floor had not been hoovered.
Due to its position, the smell from the nearby chip shop—especially at weekends—is noticeable when the windows are open.
The driveway was the most stressful part. The measurements given seemed to reflect the 80‑yard driveway rather than the actual parking space. The parking space itself was fine, but reversing down the narrow drive, with inches to spare on either side and pipes jutting out, was extremely difficult. I refused to move the car all week because of this.
All in all, we had a lovely, relaxing week in Lyme Regis.
