“We absolutely loved the location, within just a couple of minutes walk of the seafront and a nice sea view from the properties balcony.”
The onsite parking for us was fine, we found it easier to reverse down into the carpark and then drive into the space but I can see for those not great at reversing it could be challenging as it's pretty tight.

The first impression of the apartment unfortunately wasn't great as the musty smell was overwhelming, especially in the hallway & the bedrooms. Any clothes left in the wardrobes or drawers came out smelling of musty & damp. We went out and bought odour neutralising air fresheners that helped slightly and did our best to air the property.
The kitchen is very well equipped as was the living area. The sofa in the living area was comfortable but scruffy looking. The WiFi was good as was the TV signal - we did bring a Fire stick with us that worked just fine.
The twin beds were reasonably comfortable but the double bed was like sleeping on a piece of hardboard, the most uncomfortable bed I've ever come across in a Sykes property. The bedding and towels were spotless.
The wardrobe in the master bedroom was stuffed full with bits and pieces for you to use whilst on holiday and the spare duvets & pillows weren't even bagged, just stuffed on the top shelf. To put any clothes in that wardrobe was a challenge because of the clutter but we quickly learnt due to the musty smell, they were better off back in the suitcase.
The apartment however, was clean throughout although the bathroom did have an area of damp and slightly mouldy silicon near the loo.
The shower was good and we found keeping the heated towel rail on kept the bathroom at a decent temperature.
To work the heating system, it would have been preferable not to have had to decipher the complicated manufacturer instruction manual as surely the owner could easily put together an A4 crib sheet?
One set of keys was a challenge as there is no key box on the outside of the property.
Finally, in the event of a fire and needing to leave the building quickly, there is no fire escape, you would need to take the keys with you to unlock the roadside door as this was permanently locked
In my opinion, this should be a door that you can open from the inside without a key, that locks behind you. The garage door runs on electric so in the event of a fire most likely not useable.
In summary, of all the many Sykes properties we have stayed in, this was the most basic, most in need of a refurb and most in need of a really good deep clean to get rid of the smell!
Having said all that (I've never written such a long review), we WOULD stay again as we absolutely loved the location and the view and to have onsite free parking was a huge bonus.
If we came back, we would come armed with shake and vac, air fresheners & a decent mattress topper!
