“This was a lovely, spacious and airy apartment.”

Location was great, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and harbour. The bedrooms were clean and nicely decorated, with quality bedding. The master bedroom had an en-suite bathroom and views of the town whilst the main living area, which was very spacious, had a very comfy, large sofa, and views of the surrounding hills. Well equipped kitchen with a good oven and hob in addition to a washer dryer and fridge. Plenty of hot water night and day for a family of four.

Everything you needed was supplied for a stress free holiday. Our car was undercover out of the HOT sun in a designated space for the apartment. Would definitely book this apartment again.

“We’ve been to westbay many times staying in B&B’s and caravans and never knew about number 9.”

Lovely apartment spacious,clean and very close to the harbour.Great shower in the en-suite and a full length bath in the other. It’s on the 2nd floor but with a lift and easy stairs it’s not going to be a problem for most. The welcome pack was unexpected but a great bonus with local tea,milk,fudge,biscuits and fresh coffee for the provided percolator. Have already recommended to friends and plan to book for nxt year Many thanks for a great place to stay

“We had a great time at West Bay, the property was spacious and clean and the location was excellent.”

Two small points to mention, the ensuite toilet has a faulty water cut off float valve, this means the cistern keeps slowly filling all the times. Important get resolved, a blockage in the toilet could cause an overflow. The bunk beds in room two were creaky,we put the top bunk mattress on the floor.This might not usually be a problem. (Our boys are 13 & 14 year olds) Everything else was absolutely fantastic and we would not hesitate to stay at the apartment again. Thankyou for a lovely break.

“Good location, good size flat.”

Welcome pack was a very nice touch and full of useful things. Overall cleanliness was pretty good and West Bay is a sweet little village. The maintenance really let it down though. Neither of the flushes on the toilets worked properly, the shower head leaked most of the water out of the top, the bottom bunk had a large crack in it and creaked ominously each time you moved, the windows were filthy and the lift was broken. All things that would be easy to fix but we had the feeling they had been like this for a while.

“Overall a solid, good place to stay location wise.”

The small town of Westbay has got enough to keep you entertained for a couple of days. Parking was convenient and the beach a couple of minutes walk. The beds and bedding did let it down and would be a deal breaker in us returning. The double bed in the main bedroom was very small, and the bedding thin and cheap feeling. We are average height and size and it didn't offer the kind of comfort you'd hope for on a holiday break.

“Fantastic spacious apartment.”

No DVD as advertised. On the whole cleanliness was good. Bathrooms need maintenence, flushes on toilets not always working, no plug in en suite and shower needs new head. The big let down was that building work was going on in next door apartment so very noisy.

“Very spacious & clean.”

The double glazing was not fit for purpose. The road noise was horrendous, especially at weekends due to the motorbikes constantly revving up as they rode by.. Cars were noisy even after 11pm, therefore we had a disrupted week of sleeping. On Friday 18th evening a constant sound in the strong wind was the cafe bellows sign banging against the wall. This is not the place to go if you want a quiet relaxing holiday by the sea.! Do not take any notice of directions to car park.should be left not right!

“The flat evidently had not seen a handyman for some time; balcony door needs attention, many of the fittings in the shower room were loose.”

The mattress on the bottom bunk was the most uncomfortable ever. Comfort was eased by putting the top bunk mattress on top of the other mattress but was still unsatisfactory as it meant I banged my head every time I wanted to get out of bed! There is room for twin beds in the second bedroom so suggest the bunk beds are replaced with one bed under the window & the second along the wall opposite the TV. If the bunk beds were replaced with single beds (with decent mattresses), I would consider returning as the location was perfect, especially with under cover parking. There were stains on the dining room chairs and the sofa. The windows were filthy. We liked the large sofa.

“This is a really good flat well positioned in West Bay and we enjoyed being there.”

We arrived late evening and the welcome pack was particularly helpful. It’s very clean, comfortable and we experienced no noise from other apartments. Parking arrangement works well. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again. The only reason I didn't give cleanliness top score is that the windows were very stained by sea gulls of which there are many! Cleaner windows would be great but it’s not really a complaint.

It is a perfect location for us and has the added bonus of a lift and parking space - both of which are important for us. Inside is well presented and very clean. It has everything you need in the kitchen - except for egg cups!! We will definitely be back again and would recommend this apartment to anyone planning a trip to the area.

Great for walkers and those touring. The flat was exceptionally clean and tidy on arrival and has all the facilities you would require. Decor is a bit tired but not shabby. The welcome pack, including a fresh pint of milk, was gratefully received! We would definitely stay here again.

Bridport 1.5 miles; Lyme Regis 11 miles.

West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway to the Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, crabbing, boating and golf. Visit the homes of Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence, the Tank Museum at Bovington or the Naval air Museum at Yeovil.
