This small market town in Devon is full of nods to its rich history and established families. It was once called ‘the most rebellious town in Devon’ for its participation in the Monmouth Rebellion.

Every year to represent the families historic importance between June and September the heraldic banners of Colyton are hoisted in the marketplace. With Saxon-origins the village has some beautiful architecture and scenery to admire. A mixture of pubs, cafes, restaurants and artisan shops

Colyton is a wonderful base and lies a couple of miles from the stunning Jurassic coastline.
